Description

In a rapidly changing landscape, innovation is often treated as a buzzword rather than a discipline.

Introduction to the MijS Approach to Innovation is designed to remove this ambiguity by presenting innovation as a structured, systematic pathway to value creation.

This course introduces the MijS (My Innovation JourneyS) approach - a practical framework that helps participants enhance innovation competencies and outcomes by aligning thinking, people, methods, execution, and institutionalisation with their specific personal or organisational context.

Rather than focusing on definitions, the course explores the taxonomy of progress: different classifications of innovation, the stages of innovation journeys, and the lifecycle of ideas.

By understanding these, participants are better equipped to anticipate challenges, recognise opportunities, and choose appropriate innovation approaches.

A central theme of the course is systematic-ness – how much structure is needed, at what stage, and in what context, to move innovation from chance success to repeatable outcomes. The MijS Approach addresses this question directly, without prescribing a rigid or one-size-fits-all model.

This course also serves as the entry point to a broader 10-course MijS pathway.  A broad guideline to choose courses for different contexts is as follows:
· For awareness of the fundamentals, participants may choose Courses 01, 02 and 04.

· For lower-complexity project contexts, participants may choose Courses 01, 02, 04 and 08.

· For higher-complexity project contexts, participants may choose Courses 01 to 09

· For leaders who wish to foster a culture of innovation, although Courses 01, 02 04 and 10 are mandatory, all other Courses are also highly recommended.

The MijS Approach remains open and adaptive. Your context is a critical part of the journey, and this course is an invitation to dialogue.

You are encouraged to reach out to the instructor for clarifications or course selection guidance, which is provided at no cost. Context-specific application support is available on a chargeable basis, as detailed on the instructor’s website (linked in the bio).

If you are looking to move beyond curiosity or isolated efforts and build systematic, actionable innovation capability, this course is where the journey begins.
