Description
"Introduction to Lead Guitar" introduces the major and minor pentatonic scales as well as the blues scale and exercises to develop knowledge of the fretboard which is quintessential for playing lead guitar.
This course contains video demonstrations, downloadable PDFs and MP3 jam tracks for you to hone your skills.
Take this course at your own pace. Take your time and practice on each element to get the most out of this course. Allow 4 to 6 weeks to develop your new skills.

Instructor
Rick Spurgin, born and raised in the Midwest, has taken his talents to both coasts.His love for music started at a young age.He began actively performing as a high school student.
While attending Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts Rick entertained professionally around New England.He performed at local hot spots, on television shows and also worked as a studio musician.
His talents then took him across the United States to Las Vegas where he entertained with his group at major hotels and casinos for eight years.
Rick performed in Canada as well, but has spent the past fifteen years entertaining audiences in the Midwest.He has been performing with his group in clubs, riverboat casinos and has been the opening act for bands as the Doobie Brothers , The Byrds and Matt Nathensen.
Rick is currently active with his band “Out of the Fire” and as a solo performer, songwriter and recording artist with two CDs, “Out of the Fire” and “The Awakening”.
Rick has been a guitar instructor since 2004.In this time he has instructed thousands of students how to play guitar.He owns and operates, “All Ages Guitar Studios” located in Omaha, NE and Council Bluffs, IA.
As a family man and father of six children, Rick is very patient and understands the importance of education and family.He has a large dedicated group of individual students as well as group lessons.Rick’s lessons are both fun and challenging.
