This course is aimed at law students and economics/business management students as well as business professionals engaging in cross-border trade. The course is intended to give a thorough idea of the legal foundations of International Trade Law while remaining accessible and retaining a practical focus. Part I of this course (the current course) includes a comparison between UK, US and French law as a means of exemplifying the divergences between the main legal systems (common and civil law). This is approached from an international trade/cross-border contract perspective and as such offers invaluable insights for students. The course also includes a chapter on Business English as a taster for a longer Business English course, which will follow shortly. Note that the free version of this course contains only part of the lectures outlined above.
