Welcome to the Introduction to FortiManager course. In this course you will learn the basics of deploying and managing FortiManager, the central management suite from Fortinet.


Explore each section of the FortiManager configuration:


  • Deploying FortiManager VM 6.2.3 in AWS.

  • Deploying FortiManager VM 7.4.0 in AWS (New July 2023!)

  • FortiManager software upgrade and downgrade.

  • Device management where you can add firewalls to you management inventory and configure them remotely and efficiently.

  • Creating and managing Administrative domains, which is useful for organizations looking to segregate multi tenancy devices.

  • Creating and managing firewall policies for multiple Fortigate firewalls from a single console.

  • Leverage shared object database and remote installations for all your security infrastructure.

  • Manage firmware version on your Fortigate firewalls, and automate upgrades and downgrades including multi-step ones.

  • Utilize global policies to create common used firewall rules or standard policies to be applied to all (or subset) of Fortigate firewalls. Global policies can also be helpful for regulatory or compliance rules that need be applied to multiple devices at once.

  • Configure local update server for your Fortigate firewalls, with the ability to roll-back and automate security updates.
