Description
This course explains the basic system components and its functions, structure and performance under different operating conditions. As the solar radiation are every important for the estimation of amount of energy generated from the solar PV system, a sperate part of the course is dedicated to talk about solar radiation and it's data sources. In addition, a case study to design a grid connected solar PV system using PVSYST software is implemented. Furthermore, calculation of array voltage, current and overcurrent protection devices are introduced. Moreover, questions and assignments which help to get the most out of this course are included for most lectures.

Instructor
I am Abdulmonem Bushajea, Electrical Engineer who has an experience for more than 9 years in the field. I hold a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering from KFUPM. Worked for a couple of years as a project engineer in health sector and then transferred to work with a utility company in design of electrical network, mainly deign of high voltage substations and underground cables systems. Interested in design of Solar PV Systems as they are the clean and sustainable source of energy.
