Description

Welcome to our self-paced course, Introduction to Climate Change and Social Justice! This course is for everyone—whether you're a community organizer, an activist, a student, a curious learner, or someone who has never actively thought about these issues before. If you want to understand how climate change connects with social justice, this course is for you!

Throughout this course, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how climate change intersects with social inequalities, affecting marginalized communities in unique and profound ways. By applying an intersectional framework, they'll learn to assess and analyze the social phenomena that contribute to the disproportionate impacts of climate change on vulnerable communities. As participants engage with these issues, they will also develop the skills to lead action for climate justice and advocacy, with a focus on achieving a socially just and equitable future. They will explore real-world examples, actionable solutions, and strategies to contribute to and advocate for change.

This course is brought to you by One Future Collective. One Future Collective exists to advance social justice by catalysing people-power and just institutions. We are a feminist social purpose organisation with a vision of a world built on social justice, led by communities of care.
