Description

In this short course, you will learn how to interpret and draw production sketches for fashion garments. You will be introduced to the various silhouettes and components of garments, including different types of collars, necklines, armholes, and pockets. You will also learn how to determine points of measurement based on given specifications and measurements.

One of the main objectives of this course is to teach you how to draw by hand the style, silhouette, seams, trims, and stitch details of a given apparel. This includes learning how to incorporate accessories and closures into your production sketches.

Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to practice developing garment production drawings and evaluating them based on given specifications and measurements. You will also learn how to effectively communicate with sample makers using both visuals and written descriptions, to ensure that the final product accurately reflects your design vision.

By the end of this course, you will have an introductory understanding of professional-quality production sketches for your own fashion designs.
