Model a room from a single photo using a reference scene, perspective match with corona cam, and vanishing lines, then build the floor, walls, ceiling, and door.
Learn to model a four-segment window with glass units and a frame in 3ds Max, applying weighted normals to smooth edges, chamfer details, and UVW mapping for realistic textures.
Create a detailed pendant lamp in 3ds max using lathe, editable poly, and modifiers like shell and turbosmooth; model lamp shades, fittings, and canopy with precise alignment to a reference.
Model a baseboard and picture frames in 3ds max using editable poly, extrude and chamfer; align with reference, paint white, apply wood textures, and set up corona camera.
Model curtains in 3ds max by turning a plane into cloth with the cloth modifier, applying self collision and compression for realistic folds, then simulate and refine with turbosmooth.
Learn decorative vases modeling in 3ds max by building a zigzag pattern on a rotational vase, using editable poly, shell, turbosmooth, symmetry, and instance copies.
Model a chair and carpet in 3ds max for interior visualization, using symmetry, swift loop, set flow, and turbosmooth to shape realism.
Set up interior lighting in Corona and V-Ray with white synthetic fill and a directional sun, exclude the background plane from the sun, override with clay, and adjust exposure.
Master corona materials setup for interiors by recreating albedo, translucency, and reflections with corona physical mtl, metal, wood, ceramics, textures, uv mapping, and displacement in 3ds max.
Create and assign V-Ray materials for walls, lamps, curtains, furniture, rug, and floor, using two-sided MDL for translucent curtains, UV maps, displacement, and color correction to achieve textures and reflections.
Learn Corona rendering and VFB post-production for interior visualization, using curves, contrast, sharpening, and vignette to achieve accurate brightness, color, and detail without Photoshop.
Prepare the scene for V-Ray rendering by adjusting global switches, enabling buffer sharpening, and using bucket mode. Then apply curves, exposure, and color adjustments to reach a reference-like interior render.
If you are new to 3ds max and want to learn how to create realistic renderings of interiors, then this course is for you.
In this course we use the technique of creating interiors using photo-references. This means that you will be able to use this knowledge in other projects, and quickly create your first portfolio which is sometimes a problem for beginner 3D artists.
If you are an experienced 3D artist, you can expand your portfolio with a new realistic work.
In this course I have gathered the basic ways and techniques of modeling interior objects.
We will build with you an interior walls, create furniture and decor elements, set up realistic light, set up realistic materials, and then do basic post-processing exclusively with the built-in methods of the software.
Course includes:
- interior modelling
- curtain modeling
- Modeling table, chairs
- modeling lamp, paintings, baseboard, carpet
- lighting design in Corona and Vray. You can choose the render-engine, which you prefer
- Materials setup in two render engines
- Color correction with VFB built-in tools. Photoshop no needed.
This course will be a great solution for the novice 3D artist, architect or interior designer in mastering 3ds max and the most popular render engines: Corona and Vray.
