Description

Throughout this module, the students learn about various construction materials and techniques of which can be used in construction. Students will also learn about the finer details of interior construction. They will develop an insight into the knowledge and skills required for interior construction. Learn details for building construction which can help interior designer to understand structure in better way


Once you have ideas of interior construction and understand materials on site and technical terminology, the next step is observing all things on site. This course is intricately designed to equip students with the necessary details on construction method, materials from basics to advance.


To understand interior construction, firstly, an individual needs to be acquainted with basic materials, its types, and different terminologies associated with it. The course is divided into 12 topics including the introduction video to IDL.


The topics are explained through videos. Additional practical tips are given as and when necessary.

Students will be able to understand all construction details of building, such as Brick masonry, Stone masonry, Lintels, Arches, Staircases, Doors, and Windows etc. All these are common materials and elements used in creating buildings. The interior designer needs to understand these materials in order to appropriately designate their use in a design. Understanding building elements which will help interior designer to take proper decision in case of any demolition to be done on site
