Explore Maximo integration framework components, from inbound/outbound data processing to data mapping and configuration, and learn how to manage errors for developers, architects, and analysts.
Configure endpoints and handlers in Maximo to define transport protocols, queue outbound messages, and invoke data exports through an invocation channel, with flight file handlers producing flat or Excel outputs.
Explore data mapping for Maximo integrations with Oracle and ACP, aligning organization, site, item, and inventory structures through object structures and data transfers.
Learn data transformation for Maximo erp integrations, aligning data types and field lengths, performing gap analyses. Use rule-based and code-based customization, including scripts and Java classes, inbound and outbound processing.
Manage and reprocess integration messages in Maximo using the message processing application and tracking features, applying retry and hold statuses, edits, and deletions to ensure correct processing.
Learn how to integrate Maximo with external applications using interface tables, including asynchronous interface queues, inbound and outbound processing, and managing transactions via enterprise services.
Explore how the rest api in maximo enables create, read, update, and delete operations on business objects and object structures via json and xml representations.
I have prepared this course “Integrating with Maximo” to cover the usage of Maximo Integration Framework. This course is intended for individuals who perform or develop administrative and integration functions or individuals who want to learn advanced functionality of Maximo. This course expects that a student understands what the Maximo components are and how does Maximo run in an application server. This course will help understand the use of various components of Maximo Integration Framework and the students would be able to determine wisely the components for their integration scenario. This course will also make students understand about various communication modes/protocols that are allowed, what should be considered while doing data mapping and exchange from Maximo to/from other external applications, and students will learn about error handling and management. They will learn where to track error messages and if they can reprocess the transactions. I have also presented integration processes for using interface tables, web services and rest API. This will enable a student to understand what the underlying process is, in what cases we use them so that they can utilize these functionalities efficiently. The whole target of this course is to make a student learn about the out of the box functionalities of Maximo Integration Framework and learn how to use them efficiently in their projects.
