This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
Everyone says AI makes innovation faster. Few people show you where it quietly gets things wrong.
This course follows the innovation process through ten stages, from the first problem to the final pitch. Most stages open with a short theory lecture on one concept in innovation, such as why the problem matters most, trend tracking and weak signals, how ideas are made, why AI ideas look alike, and how to turn an idea into a concept. Then we do it with AI, for real.
In the hands-on lectures, each stage has its own person, its own company and a real test with real AI tools. You see the real answers on your screen. We start from knowing the answers, and the AI never sees them. So we can tell you what it found, what it missed and what it made up.
You will see, among other things:
an AI that read twenty customer interviews and what it chose as the first problem
fifty ideas from one prompt that turned out to be only a handful of themes
twelve ideas scored by AI, and the yardstick it chose all by itself
a prototype that looked finished while its key button did nothing
simulated customers who were far more keen than real ones
a business case where the market size and the bottom up numbers disagreed
After every test comes the rule behind it, in plain words, and a one page tool you can use on Monday: a problem framing card, a signal check sheet, an ideation prompt card, a concept one pager, an idea scorecard, a prototype honesty checklist, a test plan card and a pitch and numbers sheet. At the end you build your own innovation process on one page.
No code is needed. You only need to be able to write a clear request to an AI assistant.
Who teaches you: Prof. Dr. Dr. Ana-Maria Olteteanu, AI researcher and author of more than 70 scientific publications, with a research focus on creativity and cognition.
