Welcome to my Inkscape course. This is the overview video about the first section. In this Section i will go into the tools and we create our first pictograms.
We start with learning the first tools and create our first shapes to form the first pictogram. If you like to take the reference feel free to download it here.
Quick Overview about the Circle & Ellipse Tool.
Quick Overview about the Draw Line & Beziér Tool.
Quick Overview about the Differnce Tool.
In here we basicly repeat all we have learned to keep remembering the tools. It is needed to repeat it over and over to become more and more safe and faster in using the tools.
Conclusion of Section 1, and what you have learned so far.
If you still have problems in creating Pictograms, create more! Search the internet for more interesting ones and keep on repeating all you learned so far.
This is important to increase your speed and in terms of thinking about shapes.
Repeat, repeat and repeat until you are sure you know what you are doing.
Light and Shadow are KEY for nice looking graphics, effects and simulated 3D. With some rules we are able to trick the eye of the viewer of our images and make flat and shapes round and interesting.
In this Section i will show you the idea of light and shadow, to get some interesting "WOW" effects. You will learn all the tools meanwhile we explore graphics and create our own.
We learned alot tools and tricks in here to create the illusion of 3D. I will update the rest of the "3D Clock" when time comes.
In this Inkscape Beginner to Pro course you will learn all the tools step by step to create any graphics you need.
In Section 1 we check out pictograms and create our own. This is an important step to get an idea of different forms and shapes. So you learn:
analysing pictograms and their shapes
creating your own pictograms
all needed tools meanwhile
In later sections we go into user interface design like buttons, panels and so on. We check the color palette and colors at all. We make use of gradients and analize Light and Shadows for special effects. According to this we create 3D effects like pushing in buttons.
We also learn saving and exporting graphics in the correct sizes and image-formats.
In the end you will have a rather big portfolio of created vector grapics and exported pictures for your website, business or even game.
You will have a better thinking of design and graphics, and you should be able to create your own in low amount of time with any look you like.
