Do you find income tax law confusing? Are you struggling to file your own return, or unsure about when tax needs to be deducted at source?
You are not alone. Most people never get a clear explanation of how income tax actually works. They are unsure how to apply for a PAN number, nervous about filing their return, and worried about missing a due date and paying a penalty for it.
This course is built to fix exactly that. Presented by Direct and Corporate Tax expert CA Natasha Shah and taught entirely in simple Hindi, it takes you from the basics of what income tax is all the way through to filing your own return with confidence.
Income tax is a direct tax charged by the government on income earned by individuals and businesses. In India it is governed by the Income Tax Act, 1961, along with the various rules, notifications, and circulars that support it. How much tax you pay depends on how much you earn over a financial year. It looks complicated from the outside, but broken into steps it becomes very manageable, and that is exactly how this course is structured.
You will learn the core concepts and sections in plain language, how to apply for a PAN number or correct details on an existing one, how TDS and TCS work and when they apply, how advance tax and due dates work so you can avoid late fees and interest, and how to file your return of income from start to finish.
By the end, you will understand income tax from both the theory side and the practical side. You will be able to file your own return, or support a tax consultant in filing returns for your business, and you will have a skill worth adding to your resume. For commerce graduates and job seekers in particular, working knowledge of direct tax opens doors that a general accounting background alone does not.
