In this Class we will be learning about 2 Minor Prophets: Jonah and Nahum. One begins the message to the people of Nineveh, and one will bring the end of it. We will focus on:
The Outline and Key verses of both prophets
The history of the famous capital city of Assyria.
3 Ways to interpret Jonah: There is more to the book that a big fish!
The relevance to the 4th chapter of Jonah: How were the Ninevites like the vine?

This course is the study of each of the 12 Minor Prophets: Hosea, Joel, Amos, Obadiah, Jonah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah, and Malachi. This will be an in-depth study of each chapter of the twelve minor prophetic books of the bible. It will explore the historical narrative of the fall of Israel and Judah, and the future promises of restoration. The purpose is to help each student to understand the necessity for judgment, God’s use of grace, and how the prophet’s stories and messages can still be applied for believers today.
Classes will include viewing pre-recorded lectures, and worksheets to complete after each class based on the videos. Each week there will be an application assignment to bring the lessons learned from each prophet into practical real-life situations.There will be an open-book Mid-Term Exam to cover the first 6 prophets and an open-book Final Exam to cover the last 6 prophets. All questions on the exams will be taken directly from the completed weekly worksheets.
