This course is dedicated to learn the basics of IMS DB. IBM Information Management System Database(IMS DB) is a joint hierarchial database and information management system with extensive transaction capabilities. IBM designed the IMS with Rockwell and Caterpillar starting in 1966 for the Apollo program, where it was used to inventory the very large bill of materials (BOM) for the Saturn V moon rocket and Apollo space vehicle. it is the one of the oldest databases which are still now in use. coming to this course you will learn the basic theoretical concepts of IMS DB. this course is designed for beginners. this is not for experts in this field.
