Description

Turn good evidence into everyday practice. This hands-on course gives clinicians, health workers, and program leads a fast, practical toolkit to close the know–do gap without jargon or heavy theory. Across five concise modules, you’ll learn to define implementation science in plain language, spot and organize barriers with the PEEL model (People, Environment, Evidence, Logistics), and match what you find to proven ERIC strategies using a simple “If-This, Try-That” grid. You’ll run small, low-risk tests using the 1–2–3 Change Plan, then learn how to sustain and spread wins with the Embed-It map so improvements become part of routine work rather than one-off projects.

Each module combines short teaching videos, slide briefs with speaker notes, printable toolkits, and a real-world case to practice on—Hand Hygiene Headache, Vanishing Reminders, Delayed Discharges, the 10-Minute Huddle Fix, and the scaling of an HPV vaccine program. No prior experience is required; a basic familiarity with clinical or program settings is helpful but not essential. You’ll bring a live challenge from your context, apply the tools step by step, and finish with a clear, reusable plan you can share with your team.

By the end, you’ll be able to identify root causes of implementation problems, choose strategies that fit your realities, test changes safely, measure what matters, communicate results succinctly, and build the people-process-policy supports needed to sustain and spread what works.
