Americans today are deeply concerned about the free flow of immigrants across our Southern border with no check on who is coming in. The free flow of people entering the United States creates a threat to America since we have no idea who these people are and no idea why they are coming. While some may be innocent people, there are also people who are importing drugs and women for the sex trade. In addition, there are terrorists seeking to subvert our country and criminals seeking a rich field to ply their trade. While we welcome all who come seeking a better life, we need to know who is coming in so we can keep out those who come to do us harm.

While our borders have been relatively secure in the past because the flow has been slow and the border patrol has been vigilant, the number of people recently has been growing into a flood making it very difficult for our border patrol to control it. This has resulted in a large number of people flowing into the country who we have no idea who they are and no way to monitor them. They pose a great danger to America and are putting a great strain on cities and States who must provide them services in spite of the fact they do not pay taxes. However it also hurts those who come in because they cannot get a lot of the help they need. The course outlines the grave danger they pose to America and how open borders hurts America and those who come illegally. The course also outlines ways to solve the problem, those who seek to keep the borders open so they can benefit from it.
