In this IELTS Writing course, formal, semi-formal and informal letters will be studied and all four parts of the IELTS band descriptors will be considered to ensure that you are able to impress in all bands:

• Task Achievement

• Coherence and Cohesion

• Lexical Resource

• Grammatical Range and Accuracy

By studying IELTS Writing Task 1 model answers and analysing in detail the four bands, you will learn what IELTS examiners are looking for and how to score highly in each band for Task 1. You will learn how to structure your letters, how to make them flow, how to use complex words and phrases and how to ensure that your use of complex is extensive and accurate.

Iain, the instructor, is a former IELTS examiner and has completed IELTS teaching courses with the British Council to make sure that what he is teaching is exactly what IELTS examiners are looking for.

Please note that many of the model answers used in the videos are over 150 words. This is because we want to show you as many things as possible and this takes more than 150 words.
