Course Description
Preparing for the IELTS exam can feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to vocabulary and the Speaking test. This course is designed to make the process easier, more practical, and more enjoyable. You will learn the most important vocabulary for over 80 common IELTS topics such as health, technology, education, travel, and daily life. Each lesson not only teaches you new words but also shows you how to use them naturally in conversations. Along the way, you will also practice pronunciation, fluency, and confidence with idioms, collocations, and expressions examiners love to hear.
Course Sources
This course is built on six of the best IELTS vocabulary and preparation books. The main sources are Vocabulary for IELTS and Vocabulary for IELTS Advanced. The first half of the course follows the first book, and the second half uses the advanced one, covering more than 80% of the words from these two essential resources. In addition, carefully selected vocabulary from four other top IELTS books has been included to provide you with a complete and reliable reference.
How to Study This Course
Think of this course as a reference library. You do not need to follow the lessons in strict order. Instead, choose topics that match your needs, especially if you already have a higher level of English. To see real progress, it is best to spend at least six months to one year working with the lessons so that the vocabulary becomes part of your active knowledge.
An Important Note
Vocabulary learning is a long-term process. No single course or book can guarantee complete mastery. To truly succeed, you should also read books, watch movies, and listen to podcasts to see how words are used in real life. By combining these habits with this course, you will build a vocabulary strong enough for both IELTS success and everyday English communication.
By the end of this course, you will:
Expand your vocabulary with high-frequency IELTS words and phrases.
Practice speaking on common IELTS Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 topics.
Gain strategies to answer questions naturally and confidently.
Improve your pronunciation, intonation, and overall fluency.
Whether you are aiming for IELTS Academic or General Training, this course will help you build the skills you need to perform your best and reach your target band score.
