
How to Use This IELTS Academic Mock Test
This course provides a full-length IELTS Academic mock test designed to help you experience the exam format and assess your current level of readiness. The test includes Listening, Reading, and Writing sections. There is no Speaking section in this mock test.
To gain the maximum benefit from this course, it is strongly recommended that you attempt the test in one sitting, following the suggested time limits for each section. This will help simulate real exam conditions and give you a more accurate understanding of your strengths and areas for improvement.
Test Structure
The mock test consists of the following sections:
Listening: Four sections with increasing difficulty, covering everyday conversations, monologues, and academic discussions.
Reading: Three academic passages with a range of question types designed to test comprehension, inference, and detail recognition.
Writing: Two tasks:
Writing Task 1: Description of visual information (approximately 20 minutes)
Writing Task 2: Essay response to an academic prompt (approximately 40 minutes)
Recommended Time Allocation
To simulate the real IELTS Academic exam, use the following time limits:
Listening: Approximately 30 minutes
Reading: 60 minutes
Writing: 60 minutes
There is no extra transfer time included.
Important Instructions
Use headphones for the Listening section.
Play each listening audio only once, as in the real exam.
Complete the Reading section before checking the answer key.
For the Writing section, write your responses independently without referring to sample answers.
Avoid pausing or restarting sections if you want a realistic test experience.
Using the Answer Keys and Practice Checks
Answer keys are provided after each test section for self-assessment. Supplementary multiple-choice comprehension checks are included to reinforce understanding, but these do not represent full IELTS test sections or band scores.
