Structure your talk – the key to success in part 2; applying an answer structure and how to extend the answer; how to introduce and connect the points within your talk.
Part 2 Strategies – detailed strategies to maximise your part 2 performance and how to apply them to great effect.
Maintaining fluency – important for all parts of the test, particularly part 2; a look at the grading criteria and how to benefit from it; how to fix problems with fluency; coherence and using connectors.

Part 3 introduction – this lesson highlights the general answer strategy for this part of the test AND importantly, the different question types that you may encounter; there is also a section on tips for success
General questions – types of question, how to answer, examples and answer analysis are all in this lesson together with sections explaining the language needed for generalising.
Opinion questions (1) – how to use language for expressing opinion or contrasting your opinion with that of another; how to add reasons and examples to your answer, strategy for opinion questions, sample answers on audio files and analysis are all in this lesson.
Opinion questions (2) – the second lesson on opinion questions deals with specific sub-categories of opinion-based questions, those which offer alternatives or ask for future predictions; as usual detailed explanation of how to answer together with sample answers, exercises and answer analysis are here TOGETHER WITH sections focusing on the language needed for future predictions.
Comparison questions – language for comparing & contrasting, explaining differences & similarities and making comparisons with the past are all here with the usual complement of answer examples, exercises and detailed analyses.
Cause & effect questions – how to identify these questions and the answer strategy for them form the focus together with expressions for talking about causes and effects. As usual there are audio model answers and analysis.
Listen & Practice – the third of our practice lessons dealing with part 3 questions; there are numerous samples for each of the part 3 question types all of which comprise an audio file with the model answer and detailed analysis explaining how to answer these question effectively; there are also optional practice exercises for you to attempt.
The introduction to this very important and often neglected area (25% of the marks are for pronunciation!); the features of pronunciation in spoken English.
Sentence stress part 1 – what is it? Which words to stress? Includes audio examples and explanations.
Intonation part 1 – what is it? How to use rising and falling tone; includes examples and exercises.
Chunking & pausing, linking and contracting – three pronunciation features are explained with audio examples.
Sentence stress & Intonation part 2 – the second part of lessons dealing with these two important areas of pronunciation focuses on using these features effectively in part 2 and part 3 answers; audio samples and exercises are included here.
Word stress – the final pronunciation lesson deals with what is probably the most difficult pronunciation feature; there is a detailed explanation together with guidelines and examples.
Speaking Test Tips & Tricks – in this extended presentation you will find lots of additional tips and tricks for each part of the test, how to prepare for the test and how to approach test day; explains what to say when you don’t know what to say(!!), as well as answering some common questions that students have asked us giving you lots of useful advice for that extra advantage.
Grammatical Range & Accuracy – this lesson explains how the grammar score is graded, how to improve grammar and fix problems and contains a round-up of grammar points within the course; there are also some extra grammar notes on verb tenses and other important areas like comparisons and conditionals.
Lexical Resource – this one is all about vocabulary and starts with the grading, then highlights and explains some key areas for maximising your marks; these include collocations, idiomatic expressions, phrasal verbs, word forms and paraphrasing; there are also tips on improving and building your vocabulary.
Speaking Practice and course wrap-up – the final lesson guides you to the practice section where you have several pdfs containing over 500 practice questions; there is also advice on optional services available to give you extra help such as a “live” mock speaking test or additional resources.
The IELTS Absolute Speaking Master video course is a flexible IELTS preparation course which has been designed to maximise your score across all four assessment criteria: Fluency and Coherence, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range and Accuracy, and Pronunciation.
This course will help you focus on the exam strategies you need in order to be successful in the IELTS test. You will become familiar with the test format and learn how best to approach the different sections of the test.
The IELTS Absolute Speaking Master course does NOT include:
Endless lists of vocabulary that may be too complicated for you or that are difficult to learn in context
Boring grammar lectures concentrating on complicated areas of English grammar
Material that does not give you an advantage when taking the IELTS exam – because what would be the point of that?
