Description
This course is designed for skaters who would like to continue to learn the basic fundamentals of ice-skating. In this course we learn about edge quality and control, adding more flow, power, and coordination with new skating elements from the USFSA curriculum in Basic 4 and Basic 5 levels. We will discuss how to find the right fit for purchasing new skates and learn some off-ice training techniques to enhance your on-ice practices. The skills offered in the course include; one foot edge holds, forward crossovers, backward skating pumps, one foot three turns, backward snow plow stops, and more!

Instructor
I love to learn! My experiences have taken me around the world living and working in eight different countries including Singapore, Indonesia, Egypt, Ireland, Scotland, Belgium, and France. I attended Brigham Young University - Idaho and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement certificate in French Education K-12. Figure skating has been a hobby of mine for over 20 years. As an adult skater, I passed both my Adult Gold level free skate and Senior Moves in the Field footwork patterns. I have been coaching figure skating for over 15 years and have participated in local shows as well as in-state, and out-of-state competitions.
