Welcome to this Hypnotherapy / Hypnosis Fundamentals training. In this hypnotherapy training you are going to learn, discover study, the incredible power of hypnosis & your unconscious mind and how to tap into it through the most powerful, empowering a long lasting Hypnotherapy tools available.
I am really happy about being able to teach a full Hypnotherapy training in this way because Hypnotherapy is truly my thing. As you may or may not already know, I am a trainer of NLP which I am passionate about and that I use and train on a daily basis, and I am also a certified trainer of Hypnotherapy Certified by the ABH the American Board of Hypnotherapy. So you are in good hands.
First of all you will learn about what hypnosis actual is. And importantly what it isn't.Y
You will learn about what is and what isn’t possible with hypnosis and why that is the case.
We will touch on beliefs and values and why these are important in hypnosis work.
I will be dispelling some of the common myths surrounding hypnosis and give you some of the hard facts and truths bout hypnosis which may be a little surprising for you especially when we cover stage hypnosis which of course you will learn about as well
We will go through the history of hypnosis and how hypnosis has been around in one form or another for thousands of years.
As you are going to keep an open mind and will allow me to guide you that means you will follow my instructions, and that Is a fundamental aspect to hypnosis. As someone who is going to be hypnotised you need to be able to follow instructions and as hypnotherapist that is something you need to be sure of when working with people. So naturally I am not with you in person so what I will say is this, only carry on with this course and carry on listening to me if you will absolutely follow my guidance as we go through this course ok? I want you to get a great result, ok good now as far as the rest of this lecture is concerned, only carry on if you are sitting somewhere comfortable and safe and stationary, dont carry on listening to this lecture if you are driving or operating machinery ok.
there are many ways of achieving an outcome, many different therapies and techniques and this course is not about suggesting that one is better than another. However one thing that really stands out about hypnosis is that it is a very comfortable, permissive, and peaceful process that involves relaxation and doesn’t require a great deal of conscious effort, energy or work on the part of the subject.
in the previous lectures we took a look at some of the good reasons as to why you would want to study Hypnosis and become certified as a Hypnotherapist and to kick things off lets take a look at the cause and effect equation. And if you have taken any of my trainings either online or in person before now then you will know that I firmly believe that this is one of the most important concepts you could learn if you want to really take a hold of your life, truly understand personal development, and get amazing results in your life. So my hope is that this will resonate with you and you will be able to see yourself as someone who lives on the cause side of the cause and effect equation by the time we get to the end of this section.
in the previous lecture we looked at some fairly big concepts. The cause and effect equation is vital if you and your clients want to get good results. `snd speaking of results, at some point there is s good chance that you will want to practice some of the things you learn here snd throughout this course there are going to be times when you want to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in. That might be in there form of a bunch of exercises that I will introduce and which we will do together or it maybe to practice your linguistic skills or similar. Either way you may want to find a partner to practice with as you go along snd to share your experiences with.
My suggestion would be to do that with someone who is also studying this course. I think that would make good sense.
Hi there and welcome back and in the previous lecture we spoke about how to get the best out of this course and I think if you commit to doing that you will find that you get some great results from this course. And in this lecture we are going to look into what exactly Hypnosis is and what it isn't, so lets take a look.
Hi There and welcome back and welcome to this Certified Hypnotherpay training and in the previous lecture we looked at what hypnosis is and at the very least of course you will get a lot of relaxation out of learning hypnosis. So as we have had a look at what hypnosis IS it stands to reason that we should probably take a look at what it isn’t. And I have put this as a separate section to the hypnosis myths, which are much more fanciful than what I am about to describe here , these are more misconceptions surrounding hypnosis that you may or may not have come across before. So lets take a look.
Hi there and welcome back and welcome to this lecture on the pleasure and pain principal and in the previous lecture we looked at beliefs and you discovered that it really doesnt matter what you believe as so long as you have a belief your unconscious mind will look to support that belief and as such beliefs are self fulfilling prophecies. So lets now take a look at the concept of pleasure and pain and why it is so useful to us as Hypnotherapists and towards the end of this lecture I am going to explain why some people live roller-coaster lives so lets take a look.
Ok so welcome to this section on stage hypnosis. Amd already you probably have a picture in your mind of people dancing with brooms or acting like chickens. Certainly if you are like most folk that is the type of picture that stage hypnosis conjures up. So lets now dig into the truth about stage hypnotism and towards the end of this lecture I will give you my own personal take on stage hypnotism and how I think it should be handled so lets take a look
HI There and welcome back and in the previous lectures we looked at what hypnosis is and what it isnt and in this section we are going to take a look at suggestion which is ultimately what hypnosis is all about, or at last being a good hypnotist is all about. You want to get really good at making suggestions to people in a way they want to receive them and then your clients will get great results. So lets take a look at how we take in these suggestions and the3 keys to positive suggestion that you can use to get good results with your work. OK so lets take a look
Hi There and welcome back and in the previous section we looked at what hypnosis is and what it isnt, we also looked at values and beliefs, which I am sure you will agree is a fabulous subject and we also looked at NLP and the benefits of combining NLP with hypnosis. Oh and you also discovered how to avoid being recruited into some kind of cult or strange organization and not many courses can boast that as a benefit on here.
So anyway next up we dive into suggestibility. And this is of course crucial in our work with hypnosis so lets take a look.
Hi There and welcome back to another Hypnotic History Installment and to this section on Milton H Erikson. Who many believe to be the godfather of hypnosis. Certainly there are few people that have influenced the development of Hypnosis as much as Milton H Erikson. So lets take a look
Hi There and welcome back and welcome to this lecture on the types of people you are likely to encounter when you are doing your work in hypnosis .
Now as you work with people what you will soon realize is that typically there are a couple of types of client and these are the analytical folk and the non analytical types of people and there is no better or worse type of person to be for hypnosis, its just that as a hypnotherapist we will deal with these types slightly differently. Lets take a look.
Hi There and welcome back and in the previous lecture we looked at analytical and non analytical types of people and how you might want to change your approach to the way in which you deal with a client based on the type they display. And another general type of character which you will want to be aware of are the matchers and mis-matchers. So lets take a look
Hi there and welcome back and in this lecture and the next few, I wanted to talk about some of the myths surrounding Hypnosis. One of the things I am asked about a lot is the idea of people being turned into some kind of super-spy or willing soldier that once hypnotized is set out into the world to carry on their normal business only to have their alternative state triggered into action by a keyword or phone call. Many people want to know if it is possible, and there has even been Hollywood blockbusters about the subject. The manchurian candidate for example with denzel washington. Probably fuelling a lot of these questions. So is there any truth in all of this? Well lets find out.
Hi There and welcome back and in the previous lecture we looked at that covert operation MK Ultra and the attempts made with George Estabrooks help to take over the minds and actions of others.
And in this lecture I want to bust a few myths about the actual hypnosis process and trance itself. So lets take a look now.
HI there and welcome back and now we have looked at some of the common myths surrounding Hypnosis, we have looked at suggestibility and I think we are in a pretty good place now to know what Hypnosis is REALLY and how we can use it to assist clients and improve our lives.
So next up we are going to start our journey into the mind and the amazing powerhouse you have at your disposal to achieve incredible things. And then coming up I am going to share with you how your unconscious mind works on autopilot to achieve things on your behalf. So lets take a look.
Hi there and welcome back and inn the previous lecture we looked at the conscious mind and how it is used on a day to day basis as we go through life. We learned that the conscious mind is really not the place to attempting to make changes. It is the place of logic and reason and the unconscious mind where all of the reply held beliefs and values are held is not logical.it is quantum. So lets take a look t the unconscious mind now.
Hi there and welcome back to another Hypnotic History lesson. And in this lecture I am going to share with you some more information about Egyptian sleep temples. And hypnosis as we know it is still considered a ‘new age’ therapy, however it has been around for many thousands of years in one form or another, and to fully understand where hypnosis originated and why this is not just a passing fad we need to go back an look at some of the earlier history and evidence of hypnosis back to the ancient world so lets take a look
Hi there and welcome back and in this lecture and in the previous lectures we spent a little time looking at the characteristics of the different types of people you will encounter on your travels
And in this lecture I want to show you what actually happens physically as we enter a trance state. We are going to look at Brain waves.. So lets get to it.
Hi There and welcome back and in the previous lecture we looked the different brain waves that we produce at differing levels of being relaxed and the depth for want of a better word varies during the hypnosis process starting with a relaxed light trance through to a deep trance state and at each stage of the process there are some indications of the depth of the trance that you can keep an eye out for or indeed test for through suggestion. So lets go through each of these stages now.
Hi there and welcome back and in the previous lectures we looked at sensory acuity and how by using the skills that you have been learning so far in this course you will be able to calibrate against someone’s physiology when you are communicating with them to get an indication of what is going on inside their mind as you communicate with them. You will be able to see those subtle changes and shifts in physiology which all have meaning and are linked to that person’s internal representations. Pretty cool isn't int.
Hi there and welcome back, so now you should have taken the representational system preference test. And you should have gone through each of the questions and indicated a preference in response to each of the questions. And you probably already have a fairly clear idea of your representational system preference or bias. So… if you have all of that to hand lets go in now and find out what it all means and then I will show you how you can elicit or discover someone else's representational system preference just by looking at the movement of their eyes. So let’s get to it.
Hi there and welcome back and now that you have completed the representational system preference test you will have a fairly good idea as to which preference you have. Be it Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic or Auditory Digital.
So let’s go through something now called predicates and we will start with what they are and give you some examples of predicates commonly used and how they relate to someone’s preferred representational system and then. We will go through how you can actually use these with other people. Imagine how useful it will be to really connect with others by using language that really does appeal to their unconscious mind. OK let’s get to it.
Hi there and welcome back and in the previous lecture we spoke about and I showed you predicates. And how you can use words that relate to a client preferred representational system to get a better response from them and to reduce resistance in that client. SO let’s just run through predicate phrases and I will give you a few examples of predicate phrases that you might adapt and that will give you an idea about how to use these with people. let’s take a look.
Hi There and welcome back as we carry on with our journey into representational systems. Now in the previous lecture I showed you predicates and predicate phrases that you can use and adapt for your own purposes. Now if you recall whenever we process information we change our internal representations and this in turn has a n impact on our physiology. And it just so happens that there are some fairly typical physiological traits that can be associated to representations systems. Which means of course that without even saying a single word, it is absolutely possible to tell what someone’s preferred rep system is just by observing their physiology which is what I am going to share with you now. So let’s get started.
HI There and welcome back and in the previously lectures we looked at in a little more detail at inductions and it got me thinking about one of the things that comes up quite a lot on my live training and that is when people say to me ‘WHat if I cant think of anything to say’ and quite often this puts them off even attempting and induction on lets call them a real client. And the thing is that you really dont have to say a lot to produce a good induction. In fact as you are about to find out, you can induce trance simply by saying only two words.. Lets take a look.

Hypnosis is a wonderful skill to learn and it has really changed my life. I hope that it does for you as well
I would love yo hear about your progress so please do keep in touch and let me know how you get on.
My suggestion is to use self hypnosis everyday. The more you do this the better your skills will become. The aim is to become unconsciously competent !
Milton Erikson is a master of hypnosis so if you get the chance to read any of his work you should ! it is eye opening. You can also find some great old videos of the genius at work . They are black and white and crackly! and they are great. So do a search on youtube for those.
Enjoy !
