Description

This course is an in-depth exploration of the fundamental principles governing the behavior of fluids in motion and their application in engineering design. This course delves into the intricate interplay between fluid dynamics theory and practical hydraulic system design, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of hydraulic phenomena and their real-world implications.Through a blend of theoretical lectures, and practical applications, you  will gain proficiency in analyzing hydromechanics principles and designing hydraulic systems and structures. Topics covered include fluid properties, flow behavior, flow measurement techniques, open channel flow, pipe flow,  and hydraulic structures . Emphasis is placed on mastering key principles such as continuity, momentum, energy, Bernoulli and hydrostatics . We will explore the forces at play within fluids, the principles of fluid motion, and the practical applications of these principles in engineering design, environmental management, and beyond.Whether your interests lie in civil engineering, environmental science, mechanical engineering, , the knowledge and skills acquired in this course will serve as a valuable foundation for your future endeavors and as a basis for water management and hydraulic courses . It consists of 6 main lectures from statics forces of fluid all the way to fluid dynamics and leading to hydraulic structures. Join me as we embark on a journey of  discovery and mastery in hydraulic engineering and delve deep into the science and practice of engineering fluid systems!
