Course content

1 section7 lectures3h 19m total length
  • Introduction to Human Intelligence19:27

An introduction to the complex world of Human Intelligence.  Used by law enforcement, intelligence agencies, Career Headhunters and everyone in between.  Arguably the oldest but most relevant information gathering process throughout history.

  • Introduction to Talent Spotting29:00

An introduction to the process of Talent Spotting.  This is a value add as I thought it better that you have an appreciation of the whole process of HUMINT rather than jumping straight into teh detail

  • Interview Techniques29:25

Every HUMINT expert needs to know how to elicit information from a source.  This lecture provides you with the basics of interview skills necessary to be an expert.

  • Interview Strategies42:43

Building on the previous lecture, interview strategies gives you some additional tools with which to ascertain detail from a source.

  • Rapport and Non Verbal Communication (NVC)36:13

being able to build and maintain rapport with a source is the most critical thing you can do in HUMINT.  Without rapport, the source will be reluctant to meet with you and pass on information.

  • Behavioural Symptoms Analysis (BSA)24:07

Behavioural Symptoms Analysis is a large subject but component parts can be useful for us to detect anxiety in others (and ourselves) which may flag up the possibility of deceit.

  • Eye Accessing Cues (EAC)18:54

Eye Accessing Cues are another tool in your HUMINT 'shed' that may trigger the possibility that the source is being deceptive.  It's a hugely interesting subject that can also help you in your work or home life but remember - it only fags the possibility of deception.

Requirements

  • No especial skills necessary. Students with basic interaction skills will learn, as will students with some developed skill sets
