Description
Dip into the world of showbiz and learn how to take full control of your voice and the way you deliver words. The Voicemaster Voiceover course not only gives you the opportunity to record voiceovers professionally, but it will improve your presentation skills too!
This course has been created by Steve Hudson, leading international voice over and communication trainer. It teaches you how to use your voice as a musical instrument, giving you full control over volume, pace, pitch and script interpretation. The basis for all voiceovers!
The course is on video and scripts will be provided for you to print.
The course will take about 2 weeks total (20 minutes a day), depending on your input.
Before you start the course, we ask you to record your 'Before' recordings and keep them to one side. This is to establish your starting point.
You then go through each lesson, guided by Steve. Practice until you're confident and then move on to the next one.
As you go through the course, you need to record yourself so you can listen back and correct anything that's not quite right.
Once you practised all lessons, you need to record the same scripts you recorded before you started the course. These are your 'After' recordings.
Now you will hear how much you have improved.
If you have followed the instructions and practised, you will be able to record voiceovers professionally, but of course, you will need to record a demo CD. If you need any help with this, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
Other benefits of this course:
You will have greater confidence when giving presentations at school or work and job interviews.
Study time will be reduced because this course enables you to retain more information -quicker.
Reduce your accent if applicable.
Who this course is for:
- This course has been created for aspiring voice over artists. It is also a good refresher for those who are already in the business.
Instructor
I founded Voicemaster International in London 1995 and we are now based in Leicestershire. I have been a voiceover trainer for over 20 years and have been a voiceover and television presenter for more than 30 years. During this time I have won a number of awards for production and performance.
I firmly believe that everyone has the potential to be a voiceover artist; they just need to be trained in a voiceover technique. People do not become good actors, golfers or surgeons without learning a professional technique. That's why the Hudson Voice Technique is so important to anyone who would like to sound more confident and persuasive.
Reprint from the TV Times
If TV commercials were to have a cast list at the end, Steve Hudson’s name would be known to millions. Instead, the man who poses the question “Who knows the secret of the Black Magic Box?” is a bit of a mystery man himself. A familiar face behind a well known brand name identity. He was the on-camera spokesman for Gallo Wine.
You’ve heard him as Superman when he chased the evil Nick-o-tine across your screens in the famous million dollar anti-smoking campaign and in the Old Spice adverts he tells you it’s “The Mark of a Man”. His voice advertises many other products including Martini, Ford, Shell, Guinness and milk on Swiss television! He has recently narrated the video games 'Nero' and 'Warhammer Quest'.
He can also be heard regularly on Radio 5 South Africa and Radio 3 Tokyo, and is the Voice of Rock on 100FM Pakistan and many American Stations. You’ve seen him in various campaigns, from Harp Lager to Drifter Chocolate, and he appeared as Signor Tonino in a £2 million advertising campaign selling Tonino wine.
Steve was trained at the National Theatre in London. During this time he came close to real stardom when Cubby Broccoli was casting for the lead role in James Bond movies; Steve said he lost by an eyebrow (and a few million pounds) to Roger Moore.
Steve has enjoyed working with and interviewing many stars and celebrities, including Frank Sinatra, Roger Moore, the Duke and Duchess of Bedford, Miriam Margolyes, David Bailey, Hulk Hogan, Pele and Tracey Ullman.
Voice Master International has licensed partners in India, Malaysia and Nigeria and continue to expand.
Our course for lawyers has been accredited by the Law Society for CPD training.
