This 5 lecture course on HPTLC is designed to give the participant a complete understanding of the technique.

HPTLC technique, which is now official in USP has applications in various fields such as Pharmaceuticals, Herbals, Forensics, Food & Cosmetics. This technique can be used for both qualitative and quantitative analysis.

HPTLC was made official in United States Pharmacopoeia in the chapters USP 203, USP 621, and USP 1064. As HPTLC has been recognized officially by United States Pharmacopoeia, it can now be used as an analytical tool by manufacturers for the identification, fingerprinting, and quantification.

HPTLC-MS hyphenation also has an added advantage of final confirmation while testing a sample, where-in the sample identification is done using HPTLC and the confirmatory test can be carried out by the MS component.

The course starts with the basics of HPTLC and moves on to teach the method development and validation, regulatory aspects of HPTLC, Applications and the last chapter talks about HPTLC-MS and effect directed analysis. Many applications  of HPTLC are covered which will help you in better understanding.
