Now that you have an understanding of what youll need to know before you start making soap, lets get started!
Our soap master piece is revealed in this video as well as some information regarding curing your soap. I use a soap cutter in this video but you can use a knife to get started, as long as your careful!
After removing cold process soap from the mold and cutting it into bars, the soap needs to cure for four to six weeks. During this time the water used in the recipe evaporates. Cured soap has a firmer texture and lasts longer in the shower. While curing, soap should be stored in a cool, dry and well ventilated space.
When it comes to soap making designs, the skies the limit! My favorite pouring method is the "In the pot swirl method" but there are so much more!
Making soap doesnt come without issues sometimes so its good to stay ahead of the game and learn how to identify the problem when time is of the essence.
When your soap doesnt come out the way you wanted, it doesnt mean that its the end of the world. Simply rebatch it!
This is what I would say the final and most important test before you share or use the soap you have created. You can test the pH of your soap when it is fully cured.

A. The safest method for making soap is melt and pour. This is soap you can buy already saponified. All you have to do is melt it on the stove or microwave then pour it into a mold. The method used in this video is cold process which uses lye. Lye can be cause a chemical burn if contact is made to the skin or worse.
