Hi, I’m Michelle Williams, single-mum, brain injury survivor and serial Entrepreneur.
I’m the founder of 3 successful businesses (Victress Entrepreneurs, The Craft Ecademy & The Keepsake Guild) where, over the past twenty-two years, I’ve been helping women from all over the world to start their own fun and rewarding businesses, making money around their unique passions and talents.
My entrepreneurial journey began back in 2001, when I was fired from my job for being pregnant, lost my baby, then suddenly found myself a single-mum with two young boys.
This became the catalyst that inspired me to start my first business, The Craft Ecademy, which I’m really proud to say, enabled me to independently raise and support my children, as a single mum, over the past 20 years.
By, 2015, it felt like I had reached my pinnacle when I was flown, all expenses paid, from the UK to Las Vegas to collect an award for Female Entrepreneurship. I felt victorious! It was like I had conquered all of my challenges and created a victorious life...
Or, so I thought because that’s when life threw me my biggest challenge yet. In 2016, I suddenly suffered a brain hemorrhage, which left me unable to work for 4 years, forcing the closure of my studio and leaving me brain injured, broke, and raising my two children on state disability benefits, wondering how I could ever rebuild my life.
For a while, I felt totally lost, without direction or purpose wishing for my old life back, wanting to return to the person that I used to be. But, then came a sudden point of surrender, when I realized, brain injury or not, the responsibility for turning my life around belonged to me and nobody else.
From that moment on, I embarked upon a quest to figure out how I could rebuild my life, so that I could teach other women, facing adversity and uncertainty, how to do it too.
This became the inspiration for starting Victress Entrepreneurs, where I teach other women how to conquer their challenges and create a victorious business and life.
