Description

Many people dream of building their own home. Or perhaps you have a desire for a tiny house and want to do as much of the work yourself as possible. Like most things, doing the basic wiring in a house is not difficult, but you do need to be educated on some of the tricks and best practices methods we professional electricians use.

Caleb Massey is a licensed master electrician with over a decade of experience on custom homes. He brings his expertise to this course so that you will be able to competently install your own wiring in your own home building project.

This course will walk you through the tools, materials and process of rough wiring your house. If you begin to understand the principles then you could apply them to a garage or shed as well.

As always, if there is something you are not sure of consult a local, professional electrician for guidance. This course will not make you a qualified electrician, but it will vastly increase your knowledge of the trade.

Also, this course will not teach you about installing services. Services are more technical and involve the local power company. I do provide a tour of a standard meter disconnect set up, but ultimately we focus on just the house itself.

Who this course is for:

  • Anyone who has the desire to do hands on work to install their own wiring for their home. In the process you will save labor costs and have the satisfaction of knowing you truly did it yourself.
