The Dodge Tool will lighten colors in your photo. For example:

• The more you use this tool in one area, the more it will become white.
• Make teeth whiter.

The Burn Tool will darken colors in your photo. For example:

• The more you use this tool in one area, the closer it will get to black.

Gradients are a great way to add something special to a background or image. According to Adobe, “The Gradient tool creates a gradual blend between multiple colors.” Choose from preset gradient fills or create your own fills.

You have the following options:

Here are three different tools available:

• Blur Tool
• Sharpen Tool
• Smudge Tool

The Blur Tool will allow you to blur parts of your photo. The Sharpen Tool allows you to make the edges of a selected area of your photo stand out. The Smudge Tool is helpful when you want to remove dust and scratches on old photos. This can also be used to make a photo appear as a painting when used across the entire image

You can draw shapes and designs freehand. The Path Tools remain editable, and these edits don’t affect the resolution at all, which is a huge benefit.

Adjustment Layers don’t change anything actually below them. You can apply an adjustment on a transparency layer and it will become an adjustment layer.

The Render Filter does not affect a photograph. It actually generates new textures based on what you choose.

The Sharpen Filter simply sharpens your image. Note that the Sharpen and Sharpen More options are subtle and they have no controls. Smart Sharpen and Unsharp Mask gives you control over the result.
