Most of us have an enemy within ourselves, but some allow it to activate and destroy themselves and their long-term goals. The most common problems are the addiction to alcohol, drugs, unnecessarily worrying over the past incidents. There are some people out there are incredibly short-tempered and try to be vindictive towards the others, so that they will have no one that will take them to lead a lonely life, without any help.

And another point if a person wants to be self-destructive, they will not be prepared to accept any advice from anyone as they are convinced and will not get back to the life they had before. People should understand that every problem has a solution if you are willing to use it to solve your problem and come out of it.

Everything depends on our subconscious mind; the negative thoughts all the time will lead us to face failure. Then the failure will contribute to disbelief in us and go down the path of self-sabotaging. All of us have an enemy in our minds, and we let it grow up and become vindictive towards the others and us.

Self-sabotaging could ruin the relationships as well, maybe due to the development of bad habits like alcohol and drugs. Once the ties destroyed, not possible to mend it will be gone forever. Sometimes when you have friends, and you trust them, they might be slowly intervening in your family affairs and influence you to get into dangerous activities, and that leads to sabotage before even you realize that you have done something wrong and you cannot turn it

What takes to become successful to overcome self-sabotage

What we fail to realize is that we are creating our circumstances through subconscious self-sabotage. To overcome self-sabotage, we first have to use conscious awareness to explore our emotions and fears and understand how they influence our actions. Once we have this may complain that things never work out for us, we have bad luck or do not have what it determined the cause of the destructive behaviour, and we can then take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

    Why do we sabotage ourselves?

In my experience, I saw a friend who became depressed due to his fundamental issues about his relationship. The individual looked for immediate comfort, and became addicted to alcohol, got involved in many minor accidents, and uncontrollable anger. As a result, his present life destroyed as he lost all that he could have had and severely affected by an incurable long-term disease. In my opinion, he seems to be an excellent example of a self-destructive person, and I am sure if he is an average person today, he will be living his life with regrets.

What's happening when we sabotage ourselves?

Fear settles in your subconscious mind, and you always are drawn towards uncertainty and tend to think about the outcome suffer from fearful emotions. Someone has the desire to achieve something, and their fear of the product will not allow them. If someone wants to make a speech publically, but that person will continuously negatively imagine the consequences never in positivity. Positivity will give you fearless life and happiness, but the individuals who have sabotaged themselves are not in a position to have positive thoughts.

But what's happening beneath the surface? Do they want to achieve public speaking?

They say that they want to do it, but they cannot put it in action. For those people to take action, they need courage; they cannot bring the courage out and do not want to come out of the comfort zone due to negative thoughts. They think about other people's opinions more than their welfare; they have to wake up and say to themselves, I do not want to worry about other people, or maybe this is my first failure and lets me do it. Remember, success comes after loss; if you think about failure all the time, you are going to fail; your thoughts will become real.

  • Overcome self-sabotage
  • Others may be intimidated by something as simple as starting a new job.2:20

Did you know that there a surprisingly high number of people who do not show up for job interviews, even for highly desirable positions?

Let us look at another example: A young mom looking after kids at home wants to go back to work as she seeks to bring some extra income to the family. Therefore, she needs to return to work. What she wants is to stay home with her children, but she feels obligated to get a job outside the home. Therefore, instead of applying for the perfect position, she applies for jobs that she knows not qualified for or jobs that require hours incompatible with her family's schedule, so she has to turn down the job when offered. Subconsciously, that is her way of ensuring she will not have to leave home, and at least she can say she "tried" to get a job.

Those who self-sabotage may also be afraid of what others will think of them should they accomplish their goals. They might not believe they are worthy of the outcome, so they act in ways that will ensure their failure.

You don't express your ideas in public.

Suppose you are attending a meeting where your work colleagues are also attending, you do not feel confident enough to contribute to the discussion, even though you are sure of the information. Moreover, you will back and watch people bellowing, even if they do not have enough information about the subject. If the behaviour of yours continue, you will not be able to get any recognition at your workplace

  • Getting upset over small things
  • Wake up from negativity5:05

It is possible to forget that your subconscious mind is not aware of your true feelings and your enemy that leads to sabotaging yourself and affect your life. The important thing in our lives is the frustration we get out of our failures. As a result, we are creating an enemy within us with the belief that we cannot succeed in our life either we are incapable or have bad luck.

We have to learn to accept our capabilities, and in powers in us, it is not surprising that all of us are capable of everything in our lives and indeed that we have our weak points as well. Therefore, instead of reminding ourselves of weak points, we learn to remember our stronger point and try to use that to progress and build our confidence in that.

We are born the same if you do not want to take responsibility for doing anything. It is purely your idle thoughts. Say, you want to have a dream job, and in the end, you got the job offer, but you do not want to accept it because you are in your comfort zone and do not want to leave and take a more considerable responsibility due to procrastination.

If you let this happen again with an opportunity to say attending events regarding your job because you cannot face public speaking, thinking that they might ask you to speak at the event, and this turns into a habit. You will continue to procrastinate, and this self- sabotage. Most of the time, people are not aware of their self-sabotaging pattern because the effects not known instantly will take a chance to build up and become visible, then it might be too late to rectify the situation.

The way that you do not want to accept the job offer and say to you let me wait for another better chance, without even realizing as the time goes by, your ability will go down, and you might not get another opportunity. The truth here is the self- disbelief in the subconscious mind, but learn to take action regardless of the self -belief or not and be happy and enjoy if you are the winner otherwise.

  • Negativity
  • Bring your courage out and make your decisions.6:29

Sometimes people feel strongly within themselves by the fact that they are capable of facing a few stressful situations despite the discouragement from the family itself. A retired man who laid off from the job unexpectedly wants to do some more work, or small business decides to set it up.

Therefore, he did the research and decided that he wanted to go into marketing and prepared to discuss it with his family members. He could have started the business without discussing with anyone, but he did, as he had two reasons for it, the first one was to work from home, and needed to let them know that he should be left alone at certain times of the day. The second reason, he was going to use some of his savings for the business, as it was a personal investment.

He got the unexpected reaction from the family criticizing him and pointing out his weaknesses and discouraged him. Still, fortunately, a stronger personality ignored all the criticism and started his business. After a year of struggle, he was doing very well in his business; then he received the welcome messages from the family. Therefore, he did everything on his own and achieved his goal.

The reasons for the objections from his family were, he was using his home for business and going to use savings for his business, protests were not in his interest and them all out to sabotage him. Therefore, anyone will have to place their priorities, ignoring other people's concerns if they think that they were doing something right. In this way, he has avoided self- sabotage, even though with the people who not prepared to motivate him. In that way, if you become successful independently, your subconscious mind will help you to overcome self- sabotage.

Those who are concerned about other people what they are going to think about them, whether they will be able to accomplish their goal, this doubt comes in the subconscious mind will lead to automatic failure. Some people want to do things to better themselves, but they cannot the action because they had the fear in their subconscious mind and wrapped with it.

Some people have done something wrong in their life instead of forgetting it, try to live at present, keep going back on those issues, and will never come out of it. Why do they go back to the past all the time? I am sure one horrible incident or mistake they made should not block the whole life and destroy himself or herself. They always think that they can come out of it but never take any intense action to go away from it. I have seen some people know what they want in their life after trapped in a self-sabotaging situation. Still, they cannot come out because of the fear and disbelief in their subconscious mind. Therefore, that type of person will be sabotaging himself or herself all the time.

  • The courage in you
  • Take decisive action if you have been struggling for a while6:45

How to break the fear and get the confidence to take decisive action?

Firstly, they need to start to think positive that I can do it without expecting other people to get you out of your trap. The more you expect, the more you become emotionally dependent on others that are again another way of self- sabotaging. Expecting help from others to help you in your difficulties without paying it back in some ways will make someone feel lower than the others and leading to self- sabotage.

Have you ever self- destroyed yourself?

Nevertheless, do you know how to come out of it?

The best way to get out of the situation is to accept that your self -sabotaging behavior and become acutely aware of it. When you become entirely mindful of your wrongdoings, then you will start to plan ways to overcome that sort of behavior. You have to develop a conscious awareness of your thoughts, emotions, and actions. There might be situations that you might try but still be unable to accomplish your task to achieve that goal. Then, you go back to the past where you failed and analyze the situation what the things that could have avoided in your past failure are. It will be a better idea once you have studied and found the remedy to apply it correctly for the new accomplishment.

    · Are you struggling to grow business a couple of years, not knowing how to achieve success? Have you analyzed the reasons for the failure?

    · Is it a mistake on your part?

    · Could that have been avoided or changed the style of doing your business?

If you have not analyzed these questions and put it right, you are wasting time and money and self-sabotaging yourself if you leave it for too long you will conclude that you are not good at running a business. That way, your goal will not achieve, and your success is blocked. When you are starting to do something, you should have prepared yourself to face the obstacles and remove them in the long run, and if not, it escalates and make you lose confidence.

To overcome situations like these, ask your subconscious mind the questions and try to find the answers. You need to be in a secluded area and ask yourself what you are afraid of for not taking action.

    · What is the reason for your fear?

    · What is the exact reason for my failure?

    · How can I find the solution for it?

Your answer might be I do not have money or support; if that the case, how can I become a winner. Instead of thinking along those lines that you cannot win because you do not have support, why not take it as an inspiration, learn to work hard, and prove yourself that you can do and to the others who are supposed to have given you support. It is effortless to let yourself down and sabotage yourself, but fighting back is the hardest thing. There is no need to hold you back in future, starting writing your issues daily, you might feel hard to write at the outset but if you keep practicing and take more time to write that will make you a better person as your subconscious mind is now free of all unhappy thoughts.

  • Struggle for a while
  • Easy to fail and difficult to succeed.5:57

Some people are ready to sabotage themselves, as soon as they have seen some failures; I am astonished to see those people. I had seen someone destroyed himself when he moved to another country; it is not natural for anyone to feel depressed, undermined, and lonely, and many other feelings. Nevertheless, forget to accept wherever we are that we have to fight back, I am not saying to go out and fight with other people, but they have to fight back with their feelings.

It is easy to fail but difficult to succeed; this person says his name was Peter when he was in his country; he was a respectable person. Had a good family and a job but did not have an outstanding education, with the small amount of money that he contributed most of it to his family. Unfortunately, after moving to another country, he completely changed just because, for a few reasons, one is he lost his community, and the other one did not have the respect from others as he had in his home country. He failed to realize the fact people are not going to pay you respect when they see you; consideration has to earn.

I would say all this was due to stubbornness, ignorance, and arrogance. Therefore, Peter went downhill, lost all jobs wherever he went to work; he asked to leave because of his behavior due to active addiction. That was understandable. The people did not want to keep him on the job as they were running the business to see profits.

By the time he went, he had become a severe alcoholic. He started to fight with everyone he met for some reason or the other ultimately; he has caught by the security forces, not for any significant offense. Still, for his attitude of fighting with other people overall, he appeared to be a disgrace to his family. He was fortunate that his family gave him incredible support. At the time, he destroyed everything, himself, the money, family reputation, and lost, everything at the end diagnosed with lifetime illness.

The reason why I am writing about this person is a self-destroyer, not for any serious reason around him. Still, it affected the rest of the people around this person, So when you are sabotaging yourself, you are dragging the people around with you in that path without even showing a sense of gratitude.

It is up to us to control our minds and think that we are not less than anybody is. We have our strengths, focus on our strengths, and build a high wall. We then forget anything that has happened in the past and learned to live at present. Peter became distressed for many reasons; he thought a he was the failure and not wanted by his family and had a feeling of loneliness.

I will not agree with that point if people do not want you, have to live life to attract people towards you instead of sabotaging yourself and mobbing the people away.

Some couples become the envy of each other and want to continue living like that say, for example, if the wife is doing better than the husband is, "he will think that my wife is better than me." Therefore, she will not like me, and he gets withdrawn. Alternatively, he will have subtle thought if I am down and I will bring her down that sort of extreme bad attitude some people have.

If a man thinks not accepted by his family instead of going to sabotage himself, he should live life to get them back; you have to love yourself before loving others. If you learn to love yourself, you will not go to the extent of sabotaging yourself. When you lose hope, your inner mind will lose confidence in you that will lead to self-sabotage.

Why should you drop your thoughts?

Do you have a financial, physical, or emotional reason to lose your mind?

Currently, the availability of the opportunities is very high. It will be the complete waste of someone's life if you lose your mind, and you will look like such a weak personality with an upfront attitude "I am not good enough." People who are all out to sabotage themselves do not think about the shame that they are bringing on themselves.

  • Easy to fail
  • Keep away from negative people.3:23

Have you come across people more ready to sabotage you mainly they do not want to see you are doing better than them, it is important to understand that and learn to ignore that otherwise you are dragging yourself down as they wish. It will be helpful to keep away from people who are with negative thoughts and keep to yourself, as you do not have to proof yourself to anyone your worthiness. If people cannot see your worthiness, it is their ineligibility look at someone's worth.

If you try to please everyone or expect praise or encouragement from anyone, you might not get it and if you expect that all the time, you are sabotaging yourself. To avoid all that you take the other people's criticism as a motivation and explore ways to overcome that and proof yourself that you are capable of much more than that. If you happened to be among undermines, do not tell them about you or your goal, but at the same time do not allow you to get affected but the best way to start your self-improvement, and become self-conscious about yourself.

In this online course, I have been talking about a person called Peter, when I see his friends, and relatives some of them are doing very well compared to Peter when their educational level was not up to Peter's standard. Moreover, they used to feel embarrassed about themselves at some point before; Peter destroyed himself. The reason for all that is his friends have done well because they were not worried about any of their failures, but they continued to work hard to come up to that level.

Procrastination is one of the ways that you can sabotage yourself; you have a determination to pass some exams if you do not organize yourself with your study sessions and keep putting it off saying that there is lot more time available to start my revision. In the meantime, something happens unexpectedly in a bad way and interrupt you from starting your revision you will not be able to finish your review that is a way of self-sabotage, and there is no point in looking back and worrying over the missed opportunity better off forgetting it and work towards the success without procrastinating.

  • Negative people
  • Some Parents help children from Self-sabotage.2:58

Someone who overcommitted to looking after their family beyond their abilities may be self- sabotaging himself or herself thinking that I have no life at least let me help others. Nevertheless, currently, busy life people do not put others in front of themselves and completely forget other people's difficulties. I am not saying that one person is using the other person to his advantage; it is a matter of fact, continually thinking about their problems.

Therefore, the person who is committed to looking after others become self-sabotaged. It is up to them to sort the problem, remembering others are not going to care about you. There is a limit for everything; sacrificing your life also should have a deadline, and do not forget to love yourself.

Self-sabotaging is very common in lots of families, sometimes the parents work hard for the family and have little expectations from the children. The parents do not study the children's educational world, the society the children live in, and finally yet importantly, the child might not be capable of fulfilling the parent's expectations in the case of a single parent. You worked hard for the child, and it is within reason you expect good things from your child, but your child turns down everything and becomes a complete failure; it affects you severely.

Then it becomes a worrier for you, and you will go downhill that is self-sabotaging yourself. That may be for many reasons you do not want to see the child going to be worse off in life, your family's prestige gets affected, or you have put yourself in financial stress. Therefore, all that ends up in self-destruction, now, you have not lost everything, learn to have gratitude thinking that you and your child are surviving with good health.

Now time for you to think that you could gain after the fat loss, gain more confidence but give more help to your child to recover from all that will begin to see better results, that is the way you recover from self- destruction.

The reason for some kids to self-sabotage themselves are:

    Unloved children self-sabotage

The parents keep criticizing their kids and try to pass on their fears to their kids, especially the daughters. It may be the reason that they do not achieve their best in their life.

When the parents keep saying to the child from a young age that what you are doing is not good enough that stick to their mind when they reach their adulthood, they start to doubt their capabilities and will not try for any progression because they believe in what the parents told them.

    Self-criticism

If a man leaves a woman, the woman starts to think, "No wonder he broke up with me. Who would want to be with me anyway?"

"Of course, I didn't get the job. Why would anyone hire me when the employers could hire someone appealing and fast on their feet, instead of someone without charm and intelligence?"

Self-criticism ties into the fraud condition, too, since you bend from blaming yourself for all your failures to not giving yourself credit for your hard work.

When kids not given encouragement, confidence, and belief in them because they were unloved, the kids face all the self- destructive issues.

  • Kids self- sabotage behaviour
  • How to come out of this feeling?4:34

How to come out of this feeling?

First, put your ill feelings behind you and keep always think about how you will paid for your hard work. Receiving pay for your hard is achieving your long-term goal and forget the issue that you cannot do it instead say it yourself that you can do it. But sometimes in some people's life circumstances block the success if that is of, say for example in your type of business that you have to get to meet people to network to get word of mouth around about your goal.

Nevertheless, say that you are not in a position to meet people to have face-to-face interaction, these days everything is technically advanced, collaborate with people over the phone, Skype and emails and so many other things are there. Only thing if you want to do something have your mind power correctly and use it for your benefit.

The crucial factor here is the determination, read the stories about a sick person becomes a millionaire because of persistent hard work. If you think that you are not doing something correctly and could not find another way to supplement it, instead of stopping that continue and go along with it with the trust in yourself eventually you will be able to see the correct alternative path to resolve your problem.

Whereas hard work and trying to reach your long-term aim is famous and at the time, you need to keep, your mind under control always helps to get your arms in the proper way. Remember achievement does not come overnight; you cannot become rich overnight unless you win a lottery, persistent hard work and belief in yourself regardless of other people's opinion will make you a winner.

That said, having surrounded by the like-minded people, support groups for discussions, and be able to rely on that type for advice and help will enhance your mental happiness takes you to achieve success. Human nature to look for encouragement to uplift themselves to try harder and get back the confidence that they have lost. Having said all these, I have seen some people are born without any support, money and even some parents will expect that child to help them in their daily life-saving activities, but that particular child has grown up into a successful person. Therefore, everything depends on your mind power.

We have to take control of our lives, and we have to accept failure or success we are responsible for that. Instead of looking back at our failures we might have done well at some point in our lives try and analyze the path that we had for our success and try and copy it all the time to reach the new goals. You might have the top result in one of your exams, or you might have been the best candidate in one of the job interviews. How did you make it happen? What were the tactics you used to get that? Why not think about the good things happened in your life, get back to that state of mind, and come out the constant fear in your subconscious mind. As a result, stop wasting your energy on self -sabotage and focus your thoughts on future successes as well and reaching new goals. The one day you will look back and accept, you are not your worst enemy, but you are the supporter for you.

  • About this feeling
  • Do not keep away from what you desire most in life6:09

Self-sabotage involves behaviours or thoughts that stay away from what you want most in your life. If you are running a business and find it difficult to succeed, you conclude that you cannot do it.

It is because your subconscious mind is trying to protect you and relieve you from the pain and the deep-seated fear. Besides, the result of self- sabotage is that we hesitate to face the challenges. In the end, we lose our dreams and plans, and we missed out. Later, when you think back, do not know your reason.

Therefore, you have to think of ways to stop self –sabotage your success.

Self-destruction becomes a habit. We allow this behaviour to undermine continually our success and happiness without even realizing that we are doing it. We want something, but we never accomplish the reason is our sub conscious mind is fighting against our goal.

Some of our self-sabotage habits are so subtle we even cannot recognize, but we have to remember that and understand that will cause bigger problems in the end.

We need to be able to recognize our self-destructive habit. Just say if you feel angry all the time with the people around you or with family members, you should be able to recognize that and find out the reason for getting mad like that.

Then if you allow continuing that become a habit, you try to get angry with anyone you meet in your life and lose everything in the end.

Then the other self-sabotage habit that you need to be aware of is procrastination. If you allow that habit to continue, you might miss the opportunity to achieve the best in your life. Therefore, you have to set deadlines for the things that you have to finish it within those lines. When you continue like that, it becomes a good habit and helps you in the progression.

Perfectionism. You tell yourself you cannot take action until the right time, or believe you need to perfect your skills before you move forward. These are forms of self-sabotage. Perfection is an impossible standard that keeps you from moving forward.

Negative thoughts are very destructive as some people never think anything positively and, at the same time, never want to think optimistic about others as well. Always going back to the wrong things that happened in the past and live on that. Be kind to yourself, have patience, and stop thinking negatively about the close funs as will lose everyone one day.

Find out the reason for your self-sabotage behaviour; first, learn to accept your self- sabotage behaviour and try to come out of it.

Most of us do not handle stress; we do not take adequate care of ourselves and take the relationships for granted. Do not realize that any relationship will not last long if you allow continuing that self- sabotage behaviour. Work on identifying and acknowledging what is causing you to self- sabotage yourself, and then start making changes to stop those behaviours.

Take time to self-reflection - It takes serious self-reflection to understand why you keep shooting yourself in the foot in the first place. The most successful people take time to think of what worked for them and what failed for them. Then they take a different course of action. You can achieve what you want in life through self-reflection. Only through self-reflection will you gain the necessary insight, perspective, and understanding to begin the process of change and transformation.

  • Achieve your desire
  • Find your cheerful inner voice8:27

Fear is often at the root of what holds us back. We fear that our inner critical voice is right. We start to worry that we do not deserve happiness, are not tough enough, or simply do not have it in us. It is time to put aside those harsh inner voices of "I can't" or "I'm a failure."

That said, it is not easy for some who failed many times to get rid of that feeling. However, if you want to be the winner, in the end, you have to learn to fight back.

You have no alternative other than trying your level best to get rid of your negative internal dialogue. Then start replacing with critical positive inner thoughts; if not, everything becomes impossible for you.

That negative internal dialogue is a pattern of self-limiting thoughts. Start replacing that critical inner voice with positive, encouraging thoughts.

Once you start seeing the areas and ways in which you are limiting yourself, you can begin to contradict that behaviour effectively. You can choose not to engage in self-sabotaging conduct. You can start building positive behaviour and create an affirmative, confident voice to guide you.

    Change your behavior arrangement

The real help to stop sabotaging your self is to change your negative behaviour. Every moment we take action either to be with the person that we want or to leave the person we want to be and the life we want to have. The behaviours you keep permitting yourself to do are the ones that are keeping you from what you most desire.

Think about the actions you take, and the thoughts you have in your mind will conflict with your happiness and hold you back from your true potential. You might be capable of better things, but your negative thoughts stop you from attaining the true potential.

Then look for ways to replace old patterns with new ones that are more helpful in achieving your goals. First, learn to keep us away from negativity, such as stop mixing around with negative people or challenging circumstances that cause us to react in negative ways. Say, for example, if you come across a stressful situation that activates you to behave negatively, the best solution for it to avoid until you learn to handle the situation.

    Make a small change

Now you know the stressful situation also learned how to handle it makes a small change and does not go beyond a limit because it might cause more problems. Say at your workplace someone trying to undermine your work all the time; then, the best way is to prove it to them that you can do better work by changing the acceptable strategies to the way you do your work. Therefore, that will put them away from attacking you.

Then if you find it difficult to progress in your work, because you keep missing the deadlines. So make it a point to make a change for that is to create a do list and to follow it up consistently. That helps you to keep your work up to date also stops you from forgetting the tasks and deadlines. Then another vital point is to set your goal and accomplish it without putting off for that you need to organize your work routine.

When you think that you have organized everything and reminders are there in the form of do list, then you can look forward to your success? The biggest thing in achieving self-confidence is that you should never miss your deadlines. To accomplish your work, you need an organization that is a crucial part of all that.

When you become self-conscious about being organized and try to do what you want to achieve, your inner mind will show a positive outcome. Then you will gradually stop sabotaging yourself and walk towards success.

  • Inner voice
  • The signs of self sabotaging behaviour9:37

    Self-hatred.

Every person will land somewhere different in the field of self-awareness, from self-dislike to self-confidence to self-admiration. Every one of us divided. Some of us are goal-directed and positive

The anti-self is an internal enemy residing in our minds. It speaks to us through self-critical, self-denying, or even self-soothing thoughts known as the "critical inner voice," the purpose of which is to hold us back and keep us in our place. The voice shaped by early life experiences, the ways we viewed and treated growing up.

When we grow up, if we got terrible treatments that stay in our minds forever, use that against us, and start to keep that as some level of truth, and we believe in it. If we were lonely and miserable, we might grow up feeling unworthy or not useful to socialize. That feeling stays with for years to come. We copy the image of the people who looked after us when we were young and keep their attitudes with us for a long time. If they self-hate, timid, or depressed, we may emulate these traits or view ourselves as having these same characteristics in adulthood.

    Comfort.

We keep ourselves in the comfort zone because we listen to our critical inner voice, which likes us to stay in a box. It can be tricky and flood us with self-soothing thoughts. It is easy to recognize when an internal enemy shouting at us not worthy, stupid, and a failure.

The critical inner voice tells us that you are fine on your own. Then go and do these things to have a cigarette or a glass of alcohol. Also, says you are tired today, do not worry about your goals for the day. Therefore, you will stay there without bringing positive thoughts out.

So you hear this more soft voice like do not make yourself a fool because you will not get that promotion, and that keeps you in the comfort zone. You will only be disappointed and humiliated. You do not need that. Listening to this voice makes you feel comfortable at the start that makes you continue to stay with bad habits. Then you will continue to keep with this habit and will not achieve what you want in life. Your inner critic starts with punishing thoughts. I am a loser; no one wants me; I will never get anything.

    Stubbornness

A negative self-image is unpleasant and destructive, but we often do not challenge it, because it is familiar. We start to make rules for ourselves and our lives based on old defenses we believe will protect us, but that hurt us in the end.

These defenses come from our childhood stayed with us and now limiting our adulthood. If you were quiet when you were young, no one would have yelled at you, but if you are a calm person when you are an adult, you cannot bring out the real person that stops you from knowing the people at a lower level.

Similarly, losing our temper may have been the only way to feel heard by our parents, but yelling at our partner or spouse will only push them further away.

The defenses we form as a way to self-protect us serve as the foundation for rules we make that can limit our lives. It would help if you only dated men or women who will take care of you. Do not let people get that close to you. You cannot handle too much responsibility. It would help if you did not ask for help. You can only have a job that doesn't involve creativity."

    Fear.

Fear is usually at the root of what holds us back—fear of the unknown or unfamiliar, fear of failure, fear that our critical inner voice will be proven right or overpower us, fear that we will have too much to lose or that we will have to face pain or rejection. The truth is we are much more resilient than we think. That same inner voice that tells us we cannot handle obstacles feeds our fear.

However, in reality, life is both joyful and painful. The more fully we live and love the more sadness we are bound to experience. Our inner critic shields us from feeling the pains and joys of existence. It keeps us in a chronic state of numbness or dissatisfaction. To face our fears, we must consciously identify and actively ignore this voice.

All of us can develop a more realistic and compassionate view toward ourselves. We can learn to foster self-compassion, which can improve every aspect of our lives. In comparison to self-esteem, self-concern associated with greater emotional flexibility. More accurate self-ideas, more caring behaviour in relationships, as well as less self-love and reactive anger. In this more cantered state, we are better able to go after our goals and cope with any anxiety that may arise. We can start to distinguish what we want instead of what others want for us. We can make our destiny, rather than live one prescribed to us by our history.

  • Self- sabotage
  • How can we fight the unbelief in ourselves?5:23

Are you not believing in yourself?

Do you know the reason for it? If not, why didn’t you find out the reason for it? What makes you feel unbelievable you? Is it because of your past failures? If not, you may be living with the wrong crowd; if that is the case, move away from them.

Do you know people are ready to put others down only because they want to feel better than you in this society? Another reason if they keep you down, they can use you to their benefit as you will not have the courage to leave them to live on your own.

These reasons are pure because of selfishness, and they do not want you to do better in your life. So now let me come to how you can bring yourself from this situation. Remember, you have a long life to live; you do not want to waste it because of other people’s opinions. Others think that you are a vulnerable person who cannot do anything better for yourself, maybe this conclusion of others because of your weakness.

You have to be mentally strong to avoid others taking advantage of you. Therefore, the first thing is to ignore their remarks, becoming a more assertive personality. When you get harsh comments, do not take that to your mind but take that as your inspiration to better yourself show others as a new person.

    How can you develop personally?

Start reading books about your weaknesses and how people get over them. The best way to come out of your liability is to acquire knowledge to improve your confidence, say; for example, if you like something to do, start studying about it. When you start in a small way and practice that daily, your confidence will begin to progress slowly along with your desire. After that, you will get thoughts like this. I can do it now. Then do not stop there thinking that you are confident enough and give up learning more things.

When you have acquired enough knowledge about what you like, move on to an advanced area of the subject that you are trying to learn. Say you are learning to speak very well; once you have gained that confidence, do not stop there; move on to say try to make public speaking and learn to write as well. That means you are trying to improve yourself in a couple of ways.

    How does that help you?

When you know that you can speak well, can be an excellent public speaker, and writer starts looking for places where you can use your talents and knowledge, maybe join some groups to show your abilities and mix around with confidence. Then people will begin to look at you as a good speaker may plan to hire you for one of their events. When you accomplish what you have to do well at the event, your successful life starts there.

Ultimately the people who put you down will come to know about your achievements; they start to respect you. Now you understand how to earn your respect, confidence, and believe in yourself. You might think it is all easier to say, but challenging to achieve that is a wrong way of thinking. Start to think positively and work towards achieving your goal, also. Do not ever take it for granted that everything will come quickly. I want to insist you can complete becoming a better person with hard work, determination, and consistency.

  • Believe in you
  • How do you get to know yourself?6:41

I want to say a few things about me to start my article, hoping to inspire others. I did not know myself for a long time, and I feel embarrassed to think that way, but I must speak the truth.

Why do you think getting to know you is essential?

We spend a lot of time thinking about our relationships with others, but we have to believe in our relationship first. Then you have to know yourself about your likes, dislikes, weaknesses, and strengths. You may like your muscles and may not pick the fault, then think about how you can make better use of your liability, and whatever it may be, learn to love yourself. Therefore, you have to know yourself because you need to love yourself.

Then know about yourself and your capability; you have more confidence and lead an independent life.

When you know about what you say, for example, if you fear dealing with people, you will practice coming out of it. Thereby, you will also make your decisions to overcome your weakness; you will work on your strength to enhance your confidence.

I will explain it better by using an example; say you are a weaker personality and cannot say no to anyone. What happens in the end? Everybody around you will take advantage? You went through misery all the time, and now, you are clear about the weakness. That helps you from being abused because you will expect that in advance and quickly move away from a particular situation. Therefore, knowing yourself helps you in many ways and ultimately makes you a confident person. When you build your courage, you can try new things, set your unique goals, achieve that, and live fulfilled lives.

Here are the ways to get to know yourself better.

When you are trying to know yourself, never tell any lies. For example, you are someone who quickly gets angry with anyone. So you have to accept that and love you do not like it; you can change yourself by developing your awareness and controlling yourself.

Makes notes about your desires and asks yourself why you do like those.

Get to know what motivates you to live with great passion and desires. I have loved for a long time having a business but never spent time analyzing the goods and bad about having a business; therefore, I could not accomplish my love. As that is my long-term desire, I have almost settled down with my passion now.

If you know your fears, you can put them away in a rightful place; if we accept our fearfulness, we control our emotions as well. When you know that you are in a fearful situation, you can prepare to prevent any consequences in advance that you might meet.

    New experiences:

You cannot broaden your horizons if you are in a box. What does “new” mean to you? Is it trying a new restaurant or traveling to a different country? Could you, do it?

    Feedbacks:

Ask your friends and family about your strengths and weaknesses. It is effortless to get defensive over your shortcomings—however, the price you pay to know yourself.

    Self-care:

Take the time to refresh yourself, mentally and physically. You cannot reflect if you are stressed and do not feel good about yourself.

If you can predict, you can prevent it

When we know ourselves well enough to predict how we will respond in any given situation, we take back our power. I cannot reply to harsh words coming from someone as far as I am concerned. Therefore, I know that I will be in that situation; I quickly move away from the people who easily say harsh words to anyone.

You can change your behavior when you know your characteristic and default habits. Then you can bring more structure and discipline that gives you a solid foundation to get more freedom.

  • Get to know yourself
  • Do failure and hatred sabotage you?5:52

Life is not easy; many face failures beyond belief, so how do they overcome that? Truly some try their best to overcome, and others lose confidence in themselves, never try hard and leave that by blaming others.

    The reasons for self-sabotage

Faulty thinking and fear of failure play a part. It's easy to sabotage yourself when trying to meet an important goal, like developing healthier habits, completing assignments on time, saving money, managing weight, or building healthy relationships.

Self-sabotage is one thing, but the consequences are more like failing the relationships, ruining the career, and not doing things properly; you might like to do better, but your mindset will not allow you to perform better. It can lead to feeling bad about yourself and expecting to fail, leading to more self-sabotage to avoid facing failure, perpetuating the cycle.

The failures hardly realize the actual reasons for failures and conclude that I am not good at anything and walk towards the path of failure. There is another type of problem for people who move from one country to another. They start to hate the place they used to live in and become frustrated and hopeless when facing one failure or encountering a language problem. Therefore, these people start to sabotage themselves without trying to achieve their best to recover from their defeats due to arrogance and laziness.

So, what can we tell them to bring them back, at least to where they were before?

    1. Do not be afraid of failure.

    2. Keep pursuing your efforts to achieve anything.

    3. Do not lose your self-belief.

    4. Keep trying what you have been doing.

    5. Try to get along with anyone at the workplace or one who lives around you.

We see many more in our lives, but remember, failure is not your life; you have a long life to go through, so you might meet many opportunities to try to regain all that you have lost. If I talk about myself, you will be surprised and wonder how this person can write like this. I lost everything, all my friends, house, and money, primarily due to my partner's illness. But I kept a strong mind and fought all that to improve, so I never gave up.

Therefore, do not fail to think that sabotaging yourself will drag your loved one down to that level and cause you to lose all they have.

When it comes to self-sabotage, one size doesn't fit all. To make a difficult choice and instead rely on easy (but inaccurate) heuristics needs to spend more time analyzing it. You may sabotage relationships because you fear closeness and intimacy or fear rejection. Or you may procrastinate and avoid it for fear of failure and confusion about managing projects due to needing to know how to spend the time on it.

The solution differs depending on the area of self-sabotage. It would help if you took only a little on your plate. Besides taking time to think, give yourself plenty of rest to have clear thoughts about what you must do to make the correct choices.

Understanding the roots of your fears of intimacy and rejection and taking small steps towards more closeness can help in the relationship arena. And taking more responsibility for planning and motivating yourself and adopting a growth mindset can help with procrastination at work.

Many successes come after failures; keep this in mind and avoid self-sabotaging.

  • Self- sabotage
  • What is the effect of self-sabotaging in a relationship?8:29

Self-sabotage in a relationship can significantly negatively affect both the individuals involved and the relationship. Some of these effects may include:

    Decreased Trust:

Self-sabotaging behaviors, such as lying, hiding things, or constantly doubting one's partner, can erode trust. Trust is fundamental to the health and longevity of any relationship, and when it's compromised, it can be challenging to rebuild.

    Communication Breakdown:

Constant self-sabotage may lead to communication breakdowns. This can happen if one partner feels they cannot express themselves honestly or if the other partner is not receptive due to their self-sabotaging tendencies. Effective communication is essential for stopping conflicts and understanding each other's needs.

    Emotional Distance:

Self-sabotage often stems from underlying issues such as low self-esteem, fear of intimacy, or past trauma. Continuously engaging in self-sabotaging behaviors can create emotional distance between partners, making it challenging to connect on a deeper level.

    Resentment:

Self-sabotage can breed resentment within the relationship. For example, if one partner feels consistently let down or hurt by the other's actions, resentment may build up over time, leading to further conflict and disconnection.

    Negative Patterns:

Engaging in self-sabotaging behaviors can perpetuate negative patterns within the relationship. For instance, if one partner constantly seeks reassurance or pushes the other away, it can create a cycle of insecurity and conflict that is difficult to break.

    Impact on Mental Health:

Self-sabotage can take a toll on both partners' mental health. Feelings of inadequacy, guilt, or shame associated with self-sabotaging behaviors can lead to anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues, further straining the relationship.

    Relationship Dissolution:

In extreme cases, self-sabotage can lead to the dissolution of the relationship. If the adverse effects of self-sabotage are not addressed and resolved, it can become increasingly difficult to sustain a healthy and fulfilling partnership.

Addressing self-sabotaging tendencies often requires introspection, self-awareness, and possibly professional support such as therapy. Both partners must be willing to acknowledge and work through their issues to cultivate a healthier dynamic within the relationship.

Will it damage the other partner?

Self-sabotage in a relationship can undoubtedly damage the other partner.

Here are some ways in which it can affect them.

    Emotional Hurt:

The partner who is on the receiving end of self-sabotaging behaviors may experience emotional pain, frustration, and disappointment. They might feel constantly let down, unappreciated, or unsupported, leading to sadness, anger, or resentment.

    Decreased Self-Esteem:

Continuously dealing with a partner's self-sabotage can take a toll on the other person's self-esteem. They may begin to question their worth or feel inadequate because their efforts to support or help their partner seem futile.

    Stress and Anxiety:

Living with a partner who engages in self-sabotage can be stressful and anxiety-inducing. Constantly worrying about their well-being, dealing with conflicts arising from their behaviors, or feeling uncertain about the future of the relationship can all contribute to heightened stress levels.

    Difficulty Trusting:

Self-sabotage often involves behaviors that undermine trust within the relationship. As a result, the other partner may find it challenging to trust their self-sabotaging partner, leading to insecurity and doubt about the relationship's stability.

    Impact on Mental Health:

Just as self-sabotage can affect the self-sabotaging individual's mental health, it can also impact the mental well-being of their partner. Dealing with ongoing relationship issues, feeling powerless to help their partner change, or experiencing emotional turmoil within the relationship can contribute to feelings of anxiety, depression, or other mental health issues.

    Strain on the Relationship:

Self-sabotage can create tension, conflict, and distance within the relationship, straining the bond between partners. This strain can affect the overall quality of the relationship and make it difficult for both partners to feel fulfilled and connected.

In summary, self-sabotage in a relationship can have detrimental effects on the other partner's emotional well-being, self-esteem, trust, and mental health. Both partners must address and work through these issues together to cultivate a healthier and more fulfilling relationship.
