This is Part 2 of the complete eBay dropshipping course for beginners — and it covers the two decisions that determine whether your store makes money or not: what you sell and who you source it from.
Product research is where most beginners either lose time or lose money. They either spend weeks overthinking it or they pick products randomly and wonder why nothing sells. This part gives you a repeatable system for finding products that are already in demand — so you're not guessing.
You'll start with the automated approach: using the AutoDS Marketplace and Hand-Picked Products hub to find winning products that have already been vetted, complete with supplier data, competitor insights, and demand signals. Then you'll go through the manual methods — eBay reverse product research to find what's already selling on the platform right now, and Google Trends to validate demand before you commit. Both approaches are shown on screen so you can apply them immediately.
You'll also learn exactly what you cannot sell on eBay — branded items, copyrighted products, and restricted categories that get new sellers flagged or suspended. Knowing what to avoid is just as important as knowing what to sell.
The second half of this part focuses on suppliers. You'll learn the difference between retail, wholesale, and private suppliers, what makes each type useful at different stages, and how to find and evaluate the right sources for the products you want to sell.
By the end of Part 2, you'll have a shortlist of validated winning products and a clear understanding of where to source them — ready to start importing in Part 3.
