This intention of this course is to provide anyone considering a career in home inspections with enough information to decide if it is something they can or want to pursue.
YOU WILL NOT BECOME A HOME INSPECTOR BY TAKING THIS COURSE. That comes with training though you will see a number of videos with overview instructions on how inspections are completed.
Through the lectures, you will be offered an overview of
what is generally required to be a home inspector
and will
direct you in what you will need to do and who you will need to contact on your own to achieve that objective.
This is not a certification course but will assist you in learning how you can be properly set up to do this for yourself.
The lectures will enable you to first decide if you are physically capable or willing to perform the tasks required. We will discuss the financial and legal requirements for starting and maintaining your business safely. We will discuss safe and good business practices both during inspections and on the administrative end. You will learn what tools are recommended and about the scope and scale of what you are required to perform on inspections. Whether or not you wish to be a sole proprietorship, an LLC or work for a larger established company are all considerations that will be discussed. Through this course you will have enough information to decide for yourself if a career in home inspections is right for you.
