Welcome! I'm glad you're here and even happier to help you start selling your book before you dive in and start creating it.
This video is a brief introduction to this course and what you can expect.
Your title is the starting point for this project. Don't treat this as an afterthought. It will be the name associated with your work for years to come.
This video shows you how to create the perfect title — one that speaks to your potential reader.
Optional: If you want to invest in Publisher Rocket, which is reviewed in this video, the link in the Resources section will get you immediate access.
Don't worry — creating your cover design using this method won't be as difficult as you might think.
For this course, you only need to create an eBook cover.
And we'll show you how to easily create one on your own — no prior experience needed — and then create a nice book mockup image to make your book (and cover) look like a real, tangible product.
With the title and cover ready, it's time to set up a Landing Page.
What is a Landing Page? It's a one-page website for your book.
It's meant to share minimal yet pertinent information about your book, enticing the potential reader to click the Pre-Order Now button (which we'll create here).
No coding experience? No worries. This process is all drag-and-drop — anybody can do it.
So let's get started!
You want to get paid, right?
Of course you do. That's the point of this course — to get paid up front, selling your book before you write the first word of its manuscript.
This video walks you through the simple process of creating a payment link to be used for your landing page Pre-Order Now button.
Once you have your payment link, it's time to finalize and publish your landing page.
Side note: Amazon's 'Printing Cost & Royalty Calculator' can help you determine a good price for your book. That calculator is available using the link in the Resources section.
Not exactly the graphic design type?
No worries. This quick video shows you where to get discounted landing pages built by outsourced talent.
Newsletter followers are some of the most engaged buyers.
But how do you convince them your book is something they need?
Let's find out...
Posting on social media can sometimes feel like you're shouting into the abyss. Thousands of messages are posted every second and it can be difficult to get yours to stand out.
This video walks you through some strategies to get the right eyes on your posts.
Already selling a similar product? Why not add the Book Pre-Sale as an additional cart option at check-out?
Here's how that can be done.
No network? No problem.
There are plenty of ways to find — and reach out to — your ideal target reader.
Looking to make some waves?
Searching for — and reaching out to — individual prospective readers can be exhausting.
If you want to gain funding on a grand scale, a crowdfunding campaign is a great option.
We'll dive into the setup process and some best practices here.
Struggling to come up with ways to make your offer stand out?
Here are some unique ways to pull potential readers over the line (subconsciously, of course).
It's time to write that book! And we've got two great options for you.
We've broken up the process into two different options:
1. A traditional online course ("Online Course" Resource link)
2. A Guided Author program ("Guided Author Program" Resource link) — your own project set up inside our system, complete with everything you need to stay on track and complete your book.
Which is best for you? It depends on how accountable you can hold yourself.
If you're confident you can stay on track with a project that can last for months, the online course is a great option.
But if you need some coaching along the way, the Guided Author program is best. (Think of us as your personal trainer forcing you to hit the gym on days you just don't feel like it — and you feel great once you get there.)
Use the Resource links to access your desired authorship path. (And don't forget to use the Promo Code 'PRESELLCOURSE' at checkout to get your 25% discount!)
Happy writing!
Have a great book idea but don't have the up-front funds to invest in its creation?
You're not alone. One survey found that 81% of people say they want to write a book, yet only 8% of those who said Yes ever followed through.
That's why we created our newest course, "How to Sell Your Book Before You Write the First Word."
This course was designed to help you learn how to pre-sell your book before you even start writing it, and use the revenue to fund the writing process.
In this course, we'll walk you through the step-by-step process of creating the necessary assets to pre-sell your book, including building an email list, creating a landing page, and developing a sales pitch. We'll also share tips on how to validate your book idea and make sure there's a market for it.
You'll learn how to leverage the power of social media to create buzz around your book and build a community of followers who are excited about your book. We'll show you how to entice your current audience, attract a new one, and increase your pre-sales.
By the end of this course, you'll have the tools and knowledge you need to pre-sell your book and fund the writing process. You'll also have a solid understanding of how to build a community around your book and generate buzz before it's even published.
