I think it is also important to know that you are learning from a credible person.
As a doctor I perfectly understood the gravity of the situation. Therefore, I decided that my first step would be to consult a renowned diabetologist. During the consultation at the diabetes center, I was bombarded with questions regarding my diet, lifestyle and the characteristics of my work environment. Then, after analysis of the blood results, I was officially diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and metformin was prescribed.
In order to defeat an enemy you first need to understand it. Unfortunately, in this case the enemy seems to be your own body. Or to be exact, the enemy is something called insulin resistance.
I think that to believe that not all carbs are created equal is pretty intuitive even to, say, a person who knows very little about nutrition. Everybody kind of knows that there is a difference between eating a bowl of white table sugar and eating, for example, a potato...
In the previous video, on multiple occasions, I talked about “extra stuff” that is present in carbohydrate sources naturally and that is sometimes taken away during the production process. That extra stuff is called fiber.
One question that you probably asked yourself during the previous videos is: “If I can’t eat a lot of carbs, then how the hell am I going to get enough calories to satisfy my poor hungry stomach?”. The answer is fat.
Recently I saw a video on YouTube where a bodybuilder was trying to find something relatively healthy to eat in an American fast food restaurant...
Intermittent Fasting is something you might be familiar with considering how popular it has become over the past few years and there is a good reason for that. To put it simply – intermittent fasting works and it works very, very well, especially for somebody who’s trying to defeat type 2 diabetes.
Even though there are numerous benefits of fasting, the one that is the most important to a diabetic is the fact that it keeps your insulin levels low for a prolonged period of time. The longer you fast, the longer your insulin will stay low.
You already know the first benefit of fasting – when you don’t eat your insulin stays low. It’s simple. However, there is much more to fasting than that and in this video I will talk about 3 other benefits that you could say are my favorite.
As the course is coming to an end, let’s do a quick recap of everything you’ve learned so far.
Self-discipline is a key component in making decisions related to leading a healthy lifestyle.
This is an article that I wrote and posted in my other Udemy courses, not long after I succeeded in beating type 2 diabetes. The reaction of some of my students is exactly what inspired me to create this course. I hope you enjoy it!
Thank You!

My name is Roy Naraine. I’m a medical doctor with over 20 years of self-improvement training.
Over the past few years I have developed a number of symptoms that lead led me to believe that I might have become diabetic. Finally, a year ago I took the tests to confirm my worst nightmares.
I was indeed officially diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
Now, this is a type of story that happens to thousands of people all around the world every single day. They get the symptoms, they get diagnosed and then they get sentenced to a life of popping diabetes pills and shoving needles in their fingers to measure their blood sugar levels. For the rest of their lives.
However, what was different about me is that I had rejected my sentencing. I decided to find a better way. I decided to fix my own body and live my life as a free man.
After months of experimenting I had come to the conclusion that the steps I’ve taken towards this, could actually be compiled into a short, 3 point recipe. And this is exactly what I will be talking about in this course.
And please, don’t worry. I will not get too medical. I promise to stick to the basics so that I can help as much people as possible.
I used to be diabetic but I am not diabetic any longer. I fixed my broken body. If I did it, then why can’t you? See you in the course.
