What to ask and not ask
· We must remember not to ask questions that involve the free will of another, like 'will this person do this action?'
· If you are asking about another person, or for someone else, ask permission first.
· The future is open and there are many possible paths the future may take, so asking questions about the future may not be accurate, as the future can change in every moment.
· Good questions to ask may involve whether something is serving your best interest, like is this food or supplement right for me at this time.

· Counterclockwise
· Back and forth
· Star (count the points)
· Random
· No movement
Possible pendulum qualities

Purpose of learning to use a pendulum in this course
· We are learning to use a pendulum so we can read chakras.
· We are tapping into that person's higher self and try to understand how they can be in the best alignment with their life's purpose.
· We cannot tell the future by reading the chakras.
What are Chakras?
· Chakra means wheel. They can be imagined as spinning disks of energy
· Concentrated centers of energy lines called nadis (rivers)
· Located in the astral body, along our physical spine, from the base to the top of the head
· Correspond to major organs and nerve centers in our body
· Each one radiates a specific color and vibration and relate to specific spiritual, emotional, psychological and physical aspects.
· We have many chakras within the body and in our auric field. We will be concentrating on the 7 major chakras within the body for the readings. We will talk about a few more later on for the upcoming meditation.
· The chakras hold your body’s prana, or life force energy. They can store the energy of your thoughts, feelings, memories, experiences and actions. They influence our mindset, behavior, emotional health and actions.
· Bringing the chakras into balance keeps you strong and vital. Once the life force in each chakra is processed, transmuted and released, we are more in alignment with what we want to call into our life, and we can fulfill our soul’s purpose with greater ease.

Lower Triangle – 1st, 2nd, & 3rd chakras
· Worldly concerns
· When balanced, we do well in the world.
· When off balance, life can seem heavy and is a struggle.
Upper Triangle – 5th, 6th, & 7th chakras
· More spiritual concerns
· When balanced, we seem to glide through troubles easily.
· When off-balance, we can be very airy and ungrounded, or feel unsure about everything.
Heart Chakra Connector
· The heart brings the worldly and the heavenly together.
· Congestion in the heart chakra can cause a disconnect between the life we have and the life our soul is here to experience.
Root and Crown Chakra Container
· When the root chakra is balanced and the crown is also balanced, there is a safe container. We can more easily rearrange the remainder of the chakras when those ones are balanced.
· Always seek to start the balance with the “lowest” (closest to the root) imbalanced chakra.
Sacral Chakra and Fifth Chakra & Solar Plexus Chakra and Fifth Chakra
· These chakras are directly linked.
· If the 2nd chakra is closed, it will be hard to express what we don’t know.
· If the 3rd chakra is closed, we will also struggle with expressing what we want to bring into the world.
· It is very common to see a closed 2nd & 5th chakra, or a closed 3rd & 5th chakra. Even to see all 3 closed is common. Once again, start working to balance the lowest chakra first. The others will follow.
How to activate your energy field
· Be sure you are well hydrated - drink water if necessary before starting.
· Activate your hands’ energy field
· Clap your hands together to bring energy into them.
· Pinch each fingertip.
· Push your thumb into the palm of the opposite hand.
· Hold your hands with your palms facing each other and feel a ball of energy between your separated hands. Play with separating your hands apart and feeling the ball of energy grow.
· If you feel you need more energy, you can stand up and shake your body for 3 minutes.
· For a big power boost, you can raise your arms in the air and then quickly bring your hands down in fists in front of your body with a loud “YES!”. Raise the hands again with open palms. Repeat 10 to 15 times, using all your power. Very activating!!
· Now, sit down and come into quiet space within – close your eyes, bring your hands into prayer or one hand on the other onto your chest. Find your place of inner peace and concentration.
Purpose of doing Chakra Readings
Why are we reading chakras? My intention regarding a reading is to tap into that person's higher self and try to understand how they can be in the best alignment with their life's purpose. We use the chakras to tell us the story of where they are in their life at the moment of the reading.
How to read Chakras
· You must ask permission of the person you are reading first or your outcome will not be accurate.
· Do your best to find a quiet, peaceful setting to perform your reading.
· Ask the one being read to lie down and relax. Then guide them through some long deep breathing to settle their energies.
· Silently ask for guidance from whatever divine source you work with.
ex. May my reading today be for the greatest good of all involved.
· Start at the 1st chakra and hold the pendulum about 6 in/ 15cm above the body in the proper location down the center line of the body.
· Seek out the “sweet spot” where the pendulum seems to have a slight pull and is directly activated – it may take some time to get familiar with the exact location of the chakras, but when you find it, the pendulum will clearly respond.
· Allow the pendulum to show you what it has to say. It may take a few moments. Be patient with yourself as you get used to it.
Sometimes there will be a clear 1st reading and a 2nd reading. I interpret this as the first reading is that person’s outward expression and the 2nd is their inner, more personal experience.
· Record what you see on the worksheet
Draw the lines that the pendulum makes or write the description
Include any feelings or sensations you had as well
· Slowly work through each chakra, watching and feeling the message of the pendulum
Allow your heart to be open and your mind to be blank so you can feel into any intuitive message that you might sense. You might have visions or clear emotions as well with one or more chakra point. This does not always happen and it may take time to cultivate clarity in yourself to be able to perceive these subtle messages.
· After working through the 7 chakras, take a moment to record what you read on your worksheet.
Recording your reading on the worksheet
· In the corresponding box for each chakra, you can make a little drawing or record with words, remembering to note the movement and any qualities, such as big, small, fast or slow.
· Record any sensations or feelings that come through as well
· There is a separate box to record any overall sensations that you may have felt when you initially started an in-person session, or when you invited information for a long distance reading.
· While you are learning, record after each chakra. As you become more comfortable, you can try reading the first 4 chakras, then recording them. Next round you can repeat reading the heart chakra and read the next 3 before recording again. Over time you will be able to read all 7 then record.
Returning to your own energy field
When finished with your reading, be sure to cut the energetic cord you have created with the person you are reading. This keeps your energy field clean and creates a healthy boundary between you and the other person. If you don’t do this, you may take some of that person’s challenges with you into your day. If you remember that you forgot to cut the cord from an earlier reading, you can do this action at any time. This keeps your energy field clear and strong.
· Take a moment to turn inward and imagine the cord you have created through sensing their energy.
· Use your hand as a knife and swipe your hand down in front of your heart to release the cord.
This is an important step that many new readers don’t practice, yet they might find themselves drained at the end of the day or experiencing strange pains in their body or feeling excessively emotional. Over time, you will develop a closing ritual for yourself when you are completely done with the reading and the explanation of your findings. This may include:
· spraying yourself with essential oils like lavender or rose
· burning sage or palo santo
· lighting a candle
· washing with soap or salt water
How to read chakras long distance
· After centering yourself and preparing yourself to receive, set your intention for your reading today. Say a little prayer, such as “May this reading be for the highest good of all involved.”
· In your mind’s eye, envision the person who you will be reading today. Repeat their name 3 times as an invitation for any messages to come forth. You can repeat their name another 3 times if you want, for further messages. Record your findings on the worksheet.
· Imagine the person you are reading lying in front of you. Determine head and feet of that person.
· Drop the pendulum into the space that you have designated to be the first chakra. Assess the movement of the pendulum.
· Continue to the next chakra by lifting the pendulum up then dropping it into the space of the next chakra and observe the movement.
· Continue through each chakra.
· Try to read at least 4 chakras at once before recording. If you have read 4 on the first go, when starting the 2nd round, start again with the 4th chakra and read it a 2nd time.
· When reading is complete, take a moment to give thanks and cut the cords from the person you were reading.
New Chakras for Chakra Spiral Meditation
· Second Heart Chakra – represents universal love. Pink. Above the Personal Green Heart Chakra
· Spleen Chakra – point of entry for prana, life energy. Source of power and needed for success and victory. Physically, it is responsible for increasing defenses and for energy distribution in the body. Spiritually, it gives us protection, confidence and security. If out of balance, there is no place for pleasure and fun, just fear and worry.
· Knees and Elbows – very necessary for every day human functioning, like walking and bringing food to our mouths. A good place to give a bit of gratitude for ourselves.
· Hands and Feet – the givers and receivers of lots of energy. Right hand gives energy, left hand receives energy. Feet are our receives of earth energy. Both feet and hands have energy points which match to all the systems of the body.
· Guru Chakra – where we receive downloads from Spirit. This chakra is located further back on the head than the crown chakra. Corresponds with a baby’s soft spot. When we focus here, we can invite messages and downloads, which may come in the form of images, or maybe just in inner knowing.
· Akashic Chakra – one hand’s lengths above the top of the head. This is the chakra which connects us to the Akashic records and our dreams. We can connect to a deeper understand of our life here.
· Soul Chakra – one arm’s length above the top of the head. This is where we can connect with our soul’s purpose, our reason for coming to earth at this time.
· Earth Chakra – one hand’s length below the bottom of our feet. This chakra connects us with the earth, which is our worldly power source and mama.
· Toroidal Field – A toroidal field is a natural formation that magnetic fields make. It looks like a doughnut. In the meditation, we visualize the magnetic field of the heart moving upwards out the head and entering the body at our feet or our base if we are sitting. This field can be very expansive and powerful.
Chakra Spiral Meditation
We will start with the personal Heart Chakra in the center of the chest and move in a clockwise spiral direction through the chakras in this order. Clockwise direction is a perceived from outside the body looking towards yourself.
Heart chakra, 3rd , 2nd heart, spleen, 2nd, 5th, 1st, 6th, left elbow, left knee, right knee, right elbow, 7Th, left hand, left foot, right foot, right hand, soul chakra, earth chakra. Move up through the chakras from 1 to 7, imagining the bright, vibrant color associated with each chakra. After the 7th chakra bathed in white light, move to the guru chakra and invite any downloads that are in your best interest to receive. Move upwards to the Akashic chakra, then soul. End back at the personal heart chakra and imagine your toroidal field clear and expansive.

· Closed back and forth – Continually questions their inner knowings, and doubts themselves, creating a feeling of being stuck or like they are constantly hitting their head against the wall
· Up and down – They are new to their internal listening and are excited to follow this path of knowing. They can sense that life can be an easy flow of knowing and perfect connection, if they chose to listen.
Seventh Chakra - Crown
· Open clockwise – Trust in life and where it will lead you. They know they are guided and protected in each step along the way. - Overly fast spinning can indicate they are clinging to rigid dogmatic beliefs, potentially religious teachings instead of spiritual knowings
· Open counterclockwise – Questioning family beliefs about spirituality/God but open to a more spiritual way of thinking
· Closed back and forth – Skeptical of divine influence, feelings of disconnection and lonely, sense a meaninglessness of life
· Up and down – Very conscious of the presence of spirit in each moment. Fully guided and confident in the perfection of life
These interpretations are just one way of understanding the reading. You will get a sense of how that person expresses their open and closed centers the more you practice reading people. It's important to listen to your own intuition when reading. Then you can effectively communicate and guide the person you are reading. For me, the purpose of the readings are to bring people in better alignment so they can best understand their soul's purpose. Most importantly, it's the best when you can have fun and bring hope to any situation. Chakras are in continual motion so we can always take control of our lives and make changes for living our life purpose more fully!
How to discuss the reading
· Be Positive
· Start with their strength, go to their challenges and then finish with their strengths.
· Don’t just read through a list of the chakras and how they moved. Pick a strong open chakra and talk about the qualities that the client has because that chakra is open.
Ex. – I see that you have a strong sense of family or community in your life and you are about to feel safe in the place that you live. (Based on an open root chakra reading)
Ex. – You may be questioning how to fully express yourself in the world. Sometimes you feel anxiety or frustration from too much worry. (Based on a large, fast spinning circle going counterclockwise over the solar plexus chakra)
· Find your own voice. Be kind yet honest.
· Ask questions to the client so they can help themselves understand their own needs.
Ex. – What do you really love to do with your time? (To help the person understand what their soul’s purpose is. Based on a closed sacral chakra reading)
