Description

In this course you will learn how to prove that there must be a god.

Many people are at a loss to give a reasonable answer to the question, "How do you know there is a god."  They often resort to a misdirected assertion that their personal belief is the only proof necessary.  The first problem with this is they do not for themselves have a reasonable belief in god; it is a subjective dictum.  Someone once said, "If something can be questioned, it is science.  If it can not be questioned, it propaganda."

Strangely such well intended christian thinking is the same as the atheist who says in effect, "There is no god and I do not need to prove it."  Do not question it; just accept it.

The second problem is a misunderstanding of belief/faith.  On its primary level it is a reasonable belief.  One of the major prophets of the Old Testament wrote, "Come let us reason together sayeth the Lord."

A third problem is that many have fallen into the disjunctive thought that science and belief are separated.  i.e., science is one thing and belief is something else.  But as you will find in this course true science and true belief, to the extent of subject matter under consideration, speak the same truth.  Truth is truth.

In this course you will be reminded of some well established laws of science.  Then using formal logic and classical rules of inference, valid truth is distilled.  In this case "There Must Be A God", as Anthony Flew, the former arch-atheist and logician, wrote in his book on the god he was forced by logic to acknowledge.

Here you will be introduced to such logic.  Your faith will be made more solid.  And you will have science and reason to share with others.

Other who do not choose to accept the truth of an existing god may do so. But in time if they stay with reasonable thought, they will believe.  It was several years after the Thomas Warren Anthony Flew debate at North Texas State University that he left atheism.  If they do not become theists, they may become agnostic.  We have several examples of that.  And if they remain atheist, they will have deep inside themselves the nagging understanding that they hold an irrational belief.

To the the extent possible, all principles in this course are presented in simple and easy to understand layman's terms.  And since it is presented as principle upon principle, it should be studied in its presented order for best results in building and improving your ability to prove there must be a god.

This course also teaches how to deal with exemplary arguments against the existence being a god.

Now is the time to start this study.  Welcome.

Who this course is for:

  • Those who what to investigate whether there a god and those who wish to make a reasonable argument for the existence of a god.

Dr. Bill in San Antonio, TX, holds six degrees in religious studies including a Ph.D. and a Th.D. He holds several other certificates and certifications. He has been what some call a professional student.

Raised mostly in rural south and south-central Texas, he is equally at ease on the ranch, in the woods, in meditation, or metaphysical pursuits.

He was the author of two books now out of print and several that he has not pushed for publication. He has written numerous articles in pier review journals during his time in traditional ministry.

He was invited to be on the translation committee for a modern Bible translation but declined, for philosophic differences over translation presuppositions.

His studies in comparative religions led him into an in depth study of metaphysics.

He has a knack for noticing overlapping principles in different systems. It occurred to him that when things keep showing up in many religions that these maybe the secret truth past down from our ancient past that are applicable to us today.

As in folk lore Odin hung from the tree upside down and after nine days, came to know the secret runes. Today Dr. Bill strives to look at repeating truths in a different way. He is willing as needed to take the time to see the secrets that are ready to be opened from different directional considerations.

Dr. Bill was a traditional minister for 25 years, filling pulpits two times a week and teaching many classes.

Now he has centered his work on the metaphysical of spirituality.

Dr. Bill looks at the metaphysical and spiritual from a new eclectic perspective.
