Course content

3 sections18 lectures1h 14m total length
  • Introduction to Section 1 and the course.1:11

Learn a little more about this course, what you'll learn, and how it's presented.

  • Asking your network for referrals.4:30

The fastest (and most immediate way) to have the opportunity to pitch new clients is to ask your current network for a referral. In this lecture, I discuss how to ask current clients or, if you're a new VA without existing clients, how to ask your network for a referral.

Don't forget to download your script to help you get the ball rolling!

  • Using social media to find and pitch clients.5:38

Clients actively look for VA's on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn - the list goes on (so do other VA's seeking subcontractors)! In this lecture, learn how to stand out from the crowd, out-pitch your competition, and win clients.

  • Using LinkedIn to attract clients.8:51

LinkedIn is a powerhouse! Learn why LinkedIn the perfect platform to set yourself up as an expert in your particular niche and how to attract clients with two quick changes to your profile.

Don't forget to download your script to help shape the Summary section on your profile!

  • Finding your authentic voice (and why it matters so much).6:18

Your voice is yours and yours alone and it CAN get you hired. In this lecture, we'll explore why using your authentic voice matters when pitching clients and how to find yours.

The exercise: Pick up your phone (or email) and look through old messages to your closest friends and family members. We tend to be the most comfortable around the people we know, love, and trust. See if you can identify a tone, or repetitive behaviors, or repetitive phrases. Do you use exclamation points often? Do you use emojis in all of your communication?

If you can replicate your authentic voice, or incorporate your behaviors into your marketing efforts, two things will happen:

    1. You'll repel people who are a bad fit for your business.

    2. You'll attract people who are a good fit for your business.

  • The "Bridge" Pitch6:31

Now that you have 3 methods to find clients (referrals, social media, LinkedIn), here's how to pitch them and get them on the phone (so you can really dazzle them with your expertise).

In this lecture, we'll discuss why this bridge piece is such a crucial stepping stone in the process of a landing a client.

Don't forget to download your script!

Requirements

  • A readiness to learn the most common Q's (and the best A's) during your exploratory calls with clients!

Description

This course is PACKED with gems to help you find, pitch, and land clients with a high-success rate. Exploratory calls with clients are a crucial (yet often overlooked) part of being a VA.

What you'll learn:

Basically...everything you need to help you close deals and look good!

We start by learning about various methods for how to actually find and pitch clients. Included in that section are scripts to help you find the right wording and an exercise to help you find your authentic voice (which by the way, is really handy when it comes to marketing your services).

Next, we’ll cover the 10 most common interview questions that clients ask when you hop on the phone with them. Not only will we answer those questions together, but you’ll learn invaluable skills along the way like how to find your niche services, set boundaries with your clients, and close the deal.

Not only can you use this course to prepare for your own interview, but you can also use these questions as guidelines if you need to lead your own interview. Not every client you interview will be great at asking questions, so you can flip the script, and knock their socks off by guiding an informed conversation.

What's included:

  • A script to ask for referrals

  • A script to perfect your LinkedIn Headline and Summary

  • A writable PDF to help you find your core (niche) VA services

  • A script to send to clients immediately after your interview (including a contract to close the deal and sign your client!)

  • An eBook ~Delegation Blueprint  ~ full of key insights, best practices, and suggested tasks to help your client get started.

BONUS: This course also includes a FREE DELEGATION BLUEPRINT. Occasionally, you'll have an exploratory call with a potential client who doesn't *quite* know what they need help with (or how to delegate to you effectively). The downloadable blueprint is the perfect eBook to send to clients who may need some extra hand-holding.

Who this course is for:

  • Virtual Assistants (or freelancers) who want to learn to pitch and sign clients.
  • Assistants who need help "closing the deal" with potential clients faster.
