Description

Welcome to "How to Paint: Watercolor Loose Florals for Beginners"! If you've ever wondered how to paint more loosely or what the loose floral style is, this class is for you.

Painting in the loose floral style can seem challenging or scary at first because instead of painting within lines, you're using intuitive brushstrokes and gestures to create. Like any new skill, it will take some time to develop. But focus on your gestures and how your brush is moving, and you'll get the hang of it.

I first started learning loose florals in 2016 because of my late grandmother. She had a beautiful way of capturing the essence of the flower. She had such an eye for color. And I wanted to honor her memory by painting like her.

This class is geared towards the beginner watercolorist. We’ll start with the basics of watercolor, supplies, color theory, basic brush strokes. Then paint some leaves and flowers. You'll also get to paint three projects in real-time.

By the end of the class, you will be able to combine these floral elements to create stunning watercolor floral arrangements in the loose style!
