I'm a professional filmmaker and musician of over ten years. I filmmaking and music at Northwestern University.
I have played guitar in a number of professional gigging bands in Arizona and Illinois. My songs have been played on radio stations around the country, including KZYR 97.7 The Zephyr and KMGN 93.9 The Mountain. My films have received thousands of views online and been accepted by a number of festivals.
My films have played and won awards at many national film festivals, including Austin Comedy Short Film Festival, Rhino Comedy Shorts Film Festival, and Portland Comedy Film Festival.
I believe in practical, holistic instruction that focuses on cultivating the joy of music by bringing the learner tangibly in contact with their goals as soon as possible, while simultaneously building the essential theoretical and technical foundations necessary to achieve them in the long term. This can only be done by tailoring the instruction toward the needs, goals, and preferences of the individual learner.
It took me years to master my crafts, but I feel if I had had a teacher that could distill the important information for me in the right way, it could have taken me a fraction of the time. I'm hoping to be that teacher.
