This first video introduces the listener to PowerPoint software and to the main purpose of the Course. It also provides information on the experience and awards won by the Presenter of the Course attesting to her proficiency in giving presentations and mastery in public speaking.
This lecture gives an overview of the entire course as an outline. It also describes the topic, delivery and content aspects of the presentation.
This lecture gives details of how to prepare for a talk by using an outline for the whole presentation, by setting the slides in order so as to make a story, by placing transition slides when needed, and by practicing.
This is a Course in creating your own PowerPoint presentation in excellent quality in such a way that it leaves an impression on the audience. This can be done by providing the presenter with insights and strategies related to the presenter himself or herself, to the PowerPoint slides, to the talk, and to the audience. The lessons offer tips, suggestions and guidance from making the topic interesting, making the seminar into a story, to practical planning, such as preparation, rehearsals and timing to content presentation. Choosing the font and background colors as well as slide transitions are also explained. It is based on proven work done by the author that has earned her several awards.
Whether you are in classroom setting or at a workplace, whether you need to give a thesis defence or need to market a product or service, powerpoint presentations have been pretty much the norm of communication for an audience. This Course serves only as a guide and thus, one can use his or her own choices and tweak the presentation to fit their needs, wants, and personalities. It is my hope that this Course will build up skills of public speaking and confidence during a talk.
