In this foundational module, we explore what true health means in Ayurveda—not merely the absence
of disease, but the harmonious functioning of the entire system. Drawing from Suśruta Saṃhitā, we
examine the roles of doṣas, dhātus, malas, agni, and srotas in maintaining balance. You’ll understand
how fat accumulation and weight gain are not standalone issues, but indicators of internal disharmony,
especially involving the Meda dhātu and the imbalance of Kapha. This module lays the groundwork for
seeing weight gain through a truly Ayurvedic lens.
This module takes a deep dive into Agni—the digestive fire that governs metabolism on every level.
You’ll learn about Jāṭharāgni, Bhūtāgni, and Dhātvagni, as well as how weak Agni and the buildup of
Āma (toxins) lead to clogged channels, sluggish digestion, and excess weight. Classical references
from Caraka Saṃhitā Cikitsā Sthāna help us understand the progression of Sthūlatva (obesity), while
practical strategies for Agni-deepana (stimulating digestion) and Āma-pācana (clearing toxins) offer
tools for real transformation.
Here, we dive into the importance of understanding your Ayurvedic constitution (Prakṛti) and current
imbalance (Vikṛti). We explore how each doṣa contributes differently to weight challenges: Kapha’s
tendency to store fat, Vāta’s muscle loss, and Pitta’s inflammation-driven imbalances. Using insights
from Aṣṭāṅga Hṛdayam, we guide you through recognizing your unique type and designing a lifestyle
and diet plan that’s not only personalized—but aligned with your body’s deeper intelligence.
This module focuses on how to eat the Ayurvedic way to reduce Meda dhātu, regulate Agni, and stay
seasonally aligned. You’ll learn how the six tastes (Rasas), food qualities (Guṇas), and post-digestive
effect (Vipāka) all affect your weight and metabolism. We discuss how heavy, oily, cold foods increase
Kapha, while light, dry, and warm foods support fat reduction. You’ll also receive sample meal plans,
and explore Ahāra Vidhi Vidhan—Ayurveda’s sacred rules of eating.
Weight loss isn't just about what you eat—it’s about how you live. In this module, we introduce
Dinacharya: daily rituals designed to keep your metabolism sharp and your mind sattvic. You’ll learn
how abhyanga (oil massage), udvartana (dry powder massage), swedana (steam therapy), and yoga can
all help reduce Kapha and enhance circulation. We also discuss the vital role of sleep, pranayama, and
rhythmic living, supported by classical Ayurvedic references.
The final module ties it all together by combining powerful herbal support, rejuvenative care, and
emotional-spiritual healing. You’ll learn about key Medohara herbs like Triphala, Guggulu, and
Trikatu, as well as Agni-deepana plants such as Pippali and Chitrak. We’ll explore how Panchakarma
therapies like Vamana and Virechana reset the system, and how Rasāyana restores strength without
promoting fat. Most importantly, we touch on the emotional roots of weight, the importance of sattva,
and how to align your healing journey with your soul’s higher purpose.
