I'm sure if you thought about it for a bit you might come up with a few good ideas for your particular instance for sure. Especially if you live in very cold winters & would like to use your garage for something else other than to park your car or, even keeping your car warmer!
In any case I think insulating a garage door is a good thing.
You will learn what type of insulation panels to install as well as how to measure & cut the panels to fit including how to mount the panels to a roll up garage door unit.
Even if you say your garage door already has insulating panels, just know if you install insulation batts over those panels will give you more of an insulating factor for sure.
