I can't tell you how many people have trouble installing a flagpole bracket to a stucco wall nice & tight. Now days they don't make stucco like they use to & maybe that's the reason why it could be difficult to install a flagpole bracket to a stucco wall.
By watching this video course you will know all kinds of things for how to install a flagpole bracket.
Thanks for signing up for this course!
Installing a flagpole to a stucco wall could in fact be more difficult than you thought.
After completing this video course you will know how to get a flagpole installed nice & tight to a stucco wall.
Keep watching...the more you watch the more you learn.
I can't believe a heavy duty flagpole bracket only came with some tiny screws to install it to the wall? I could see if the flagpole bracket was going to be installed on a wood wall or wood trim on a house but what if your house has stucco walls? Sheesh.
The tricky part could be how to find the edge of a stud behind a stucco wall & what screws to use if you need to install longer screws than what came with the flagpole bracket.
Do you really need a concrete type stucco drill bit in order to penetrate the stucco? I guess that would depend on how old your house is.
Are all flagpole brackets created equal? No. The flagpole bracket that was initially installed on this house was in fact a metal flagpole bracket but during high winds, the flagpole bracket snapped off. I never thought a flagpole bracket would do that but apparently they can.
This time we decided to install a heavy gauge type of flagpole that is a bit different for sure but the bracket base is wider than a standard type of flagpole bracket holder but I still wanted to make sure I hit the side of a wood stud on both sides of the bracket.
Is it possible? with a little effort...yes.
Did you know that most stucco walls now days are not very thick at all plus lots of those walls won't have a wood backing behind them either. You just can't install a plastic anchor into a stucco wall such as this. Even if you thought you would just use some toggle bolts instead, the flagpole bracket is not going to stay tight for too long against the wall in high winds for sure.
I think I showed you the best way to install a flagpole bracket into a stucco wall. It took some doing but anything worth while will take you some effort to complete.
I hope you watch this last video since I will show you a few good tips if you want to fly your flag at night too.
Thanks for watching this video course & I hope you learned a lot.
Fly that flag proud...now you can!
In this video course viewers will learn all they should need to know in order to install a flagpole bracket to a stucco wall. It's funny how many people out there don't know how to install a flagpole bracket to a stucco wall, sad actually.
I don't know how many times I've come up to a house & seen the flagpole bracket not screwed in properly to stucco. Some flagpole brackets have been installed into stucco with plastic anchors I've seen before, where the screws just spin in the plastic anchors & really aren't tight.
There's lots of variables when it comes time to install a flagpole bracket especially installing one into a stucco wall. Have you seen stucco now days? Most of the time the stucco is just a thin layer of stucco installed over an insulation board with possibly OSB plywood behind that & in some cases no OSB plywood behind the foam board at all so do you really think little plastic anchors will hole into this type of stucco wall?
In the old days stucco was a full 3/4" thick concrete material & you couldn't even put a drill bit through it unless of course you used a drill bit designed to drill through concrete stucco. Now days they don't install stucco like that anymore rather the way I just previously described. So how would you go about installing a heavy flagpole bracket up to a stucco wall that appears to not be able to hold a flagpole bracket without hitting wood backing? Not easy.
Well you will learn how to find a wood stud behind where most flagpole brackets are installed & how to actually find the wood stud & what to do when your bracket is wider than a wood stud. Yes you will learn a lot on this video course for sure.
