This video course is over 2 hours long so I know you will learn all kinds of new things. Get your popcorn ready!!
Let's start with some basics shall we? Where do I start with what type of piping should you get?! I always like to use the black ABS piping & fittings. Let me explain...
You can get at least 4 different types of piping. When you go to the hardware store you will need to decide what type of piping to get since you could get confused right out of the gate for what you might need. Let's talk about the type of piping before anything...
OK I referred to 4 different types of piping (that I know of)...You can use black ABS piping. You could also use the white pvc piping. They also have an ABS piping that is coated to make it look like fake steel piping. You also have the steel pipe fittings, & I guess they also have stainless steel fittings too, so that makes 5!
I like to use the black ABS fittings since the ABS material looks great when installed & very durable & easy to use. It's a standard type application. You could also use the white pvc style piping & I've seen that a lot under Kitchen & bathroom sinks but the white pvc is a very thin material more so than the black ABS piping. In fact in some cases the white pvc will not meet code requirements if you are getting your project permitted for example....just depends on your County/City requirements. For the money I would go with the black ABS.
Speaking of ABS they also have an abs piping that is then coated over silver & almost looks like the steel piping you may have seen under a sink before. This piping costs a bit more than the standard black ABS piping & I just don't want to spend anymore than I have to when installing the piping under a sink!
You could also use the steel piping & I'm sure you have seen that under sinks as well & most of the time you will see that type of piping under older sinks/older homes since in the old days they pretty much only used the steel piping under sinks. I have seen this type of piping rust & split after many years so I would not recommend using it plus I believe the steel piping costs more than the black ABS piping.
The stainless steel fittings are pretty much used for commercial applications & very expensive to even think about installing under your Kitchen or bathroom sinks since it's a thick gauge material & harder to work with & cut too.
For all those reasons I would recommend using the black ABS piping. Lots of plumbers use that since they always seem to have some long lengths on their truck because when piping a new house or home remodel, all the piping used for plumbing drains & vents for the rough & top out plumbing generally go with the black ABS piping thus why not continue to use that under the Kitchen & bathroom sinks as well. Very durable & easy to use.
How to install drain assembly under a kitchen sink is what this DIY howto video is about.
You will learn how to hook up a drain assembly under a kitchen sink complete with step by step instructions. This drain assembly video course will show you how to install the plumbing drain pipes for both a standard sink outlet as well as for an additional garbage disposal separate sink compartment as well meaning connecting the two together along with installing an adjustable p-trap to then connect to the plumbing drain pipe sticking out of the back of the cabinet...you know the one!
You will learn how to cut & fit the pieces of drain piping as well as what pipe fittings & connections to use, etc.. I tell you installing all the drain piping under a sink may be preventing you from installing that new kitchen sink faucet & or a garbage disposal...right?
Once you watch this video course it will become a lot clearer how everything gets put together under a sink. Here's something to realize though...not all sink compartments are created equal in that your sink configuration & where the drain pipe sticks out from the wall will be different than what I will show you...but the video course will give you enough info. that you will then be able to figure out how to get all your plumbing connections installed for your Kitchen sink I truly believe that!
Don't pay a professional plumber to install the drain piping for you when you can do it yourself just by watching this informative video course! I will say you will be learning from another average Joe so who better to teach you since you will know if I can install a drain assembly under a kitchen sink then so can YOU!
