this induction is called the elman induction and its a famous induction created by Dave Elman so what I want you to do is just make yourself comfortable there put your arms there on the chair there like that excellent what I want you to do is allow your eyes to close and what I want you to do is relax all the tiny little muscles in around your eyelids and I want you to relax them so much so that if you were to try and open those eyelids you would find it very difficult so just try when your ready when you know you've relaxed those eyelids enough that's right now you can stop trying now and allow all that relaxation just spread from the top of your head all the way down to tips of your toes thats it now only if you have followd all my instructions in a moment I'm going to lift your left arm up and your left arm will be loose and limp just like a dish rag that's right loosen iand limp and i'm just going to plop that down on your lap and you'll go 10 times deeper ten times deeper excellent and now I'm going to reach over and touch and lift up the right arm and do the exact same thing and that arm should be loose and limp just like a dish rag thats right just plot that down excellent now in a moment I'm going to ask you to open and close your eyes and when you close your eyes you will go 10 times deeper okay so open your eyes okay and close your eyes ten times deeper excellent now in a moment I'm going to ask you to do the same thing again but this time you close your eyes you will double the relaxation or tripple the trance so open your eyes open your eyes and close your eyes thats right doubling the relaxation or tripping the trance thats right deeper and deeper still and we will just do that one more time and this time when you close your eyes you will go deeper than you have ever went before okay so open and clsoe your eyes deeper than you have ever went before thats right excellent now in a moment I'm going to ask you to begin to count out load from 100 backwards and with each number you count out loud the next number will begin to become more difficult for you to see so with each number you count out loud the next number becomes more difficult to see until all those numbers disappear completely Do you understand that excellent so begin counting backwards from 100 out loud [ ONE HUNDRED ] excellent allowing the number to disappear going on to the next number [ Ninety Nine ] excellent those numbers moving further and further away from your mind just disappearing completely and when those numbers are gone completely just let me know those numbers have gone what numbers comes next [ Ninety Eight ] excellent fading even further further into the distance again smaller and smaller more difficult to see and the next number [GONE] excellent so those numbers are gone completely so now your mind and body are equally relaxed into a deep hypnotic state thats right deeper and deeper still Now I'm going to be working here and nothing is going to bother or disturb you in any way what so ever that's right nothing's going to bother or disturb you in any way what so ever that's right excellent I'm going to be working over here the same thing nothing is going to bother disturbing any way what so ever thats right excellent now okay I'm just spreading some healing ointment where I was working in those places okay so in a moment I'm going to count from one to five and on the count of five you will feel calm rested refreshed relax and feel wonderful in every way so one slowly calmly easily gently coming back to full awareness two each muscle and nerve in your body feeling loose limp and relaxed and Three from your head down to your toes feeling perfect in every way and four your eyes feel sparkling clear just like they have been bathed in pure spring water and on the next number now you will feel calm rested refreshed relaxed and feel wonderfully good in every and five open your eyes excellent feeling good [FEELING GOOD] EXCELLENT
