This course will guide students through developing a roadmap for life and work. This course applies to those mid-life adults seeking to recreate life and work that works perfectly for them and college students and young adults seeking to figure out what work is best for them.
In this course, which is interactive, students will have the opportunity to develop their roadmap, which includes the identification of their life’s purpose and values—aligned behavior and goals.
With this roadmap, students will have a new sense of direction and purpose to focus.
This course will also enable students to align their abilities and what they are motivated to do with their deepest interests. The intersection of skills and interests is where Joyful Work can be found.
This course will also enable new ideas and goals that align with their core values and interests.
The path to Joyful Work and an authentic life will be the most challenging job of all and the most worth it.
It only takes one new idea to start down the road for positive change, and this course will enable students to find out what they seek next in their life and work.

Instructor
Dr.Craig Nathanson is also an Educator, Author, speaker and coach for mid-life development.
Dr. Nathanson has been teaching online graduate and undergraduate programs since 2001 at several universities in North America and Europe. In addition, he is a visiting lecturer in Vietnam in partnership with Solvay Brussels School of Economics, Brussels, Belgium. Additionally Dr.Nathanson is an adjunct faculty for the University Of San Francisco, Johnson and Wales University, San Francisco State University and a contributing faculty for the Continuing Education division of Cal State University East Bay.
Dr. Nathanson is a visiting lecturer in China and Vietnam in partnership with The Asia Center at Benedictine University, US as well as an adjunct lecturer for The National Moser Center of Adult Learning in the US.
Additionally Dr. Craig Nathanson is an honorary lecturer at the University of Liverpool Online and the University of Roehampton, London Online.
Dr.Craig Nathanson is the Program Coordinator for the Human Resource Management Certificate Program at Sonoma State University.
Dr.Craig Nathanson is an Adjunct Lecturer in the School Of Business and Economics at Sonoma State.
Dr. Nathanson has a Ph.D in Human and Organizational Systems, as well as Masters Degrees in Human Development and Telecommunications Management. He worked over twenty years in various senior management positions in U.S. Fortune 500 companies. Dr. Nathanson has written and published 7 books on personal and mid-life development and management, including “The Best Manager: Getting better results through people”. Dr. Nathanson’s book “Joyful work in the second half of life: The five stages”, accumulates twenty years of research in the intersection of work and mid-life. Additionally Dr.Nathanson just released his newest book in 2018, co-authored with his wife Natasha, a parenting book, “ Everybody needs a Bearhug, kids advice for their parents, 365 days a year “.
Two of Dr.Nathanson’s books have been translated and published in Vietnamese and available in Vietnam; How to reach your goals in work and life and The Best Manager both published by D.T Books in Vietnam.
Additionally Dr.Nathanson was one of the original founding members of Pandesic, the joint venture of Intel-Sap as one of the first e-commerce companies as well as a vice-president of People PC, a joint venture with Ford Motor Company.
Dr. Nathanson is also a motivational speaker, The Vocational Coach™ for mid-life adults, and workshop leader working with companies on the development of their organizations and people. His current research focus is on humanistic leadership, leadership through coaching, ,Joyful Work and professional development. Dr. Nathanson developed and leads a thriving online community which combines his work on leadership and joyful work.
Dr.Nathanson lives in Petaluma, California with his family.
