Description
In this class, you will learn how to sharpen chalk, how to blend chalk, how to transfer a template, and other great tips to make your chalk art look professional. You will be able to take your skills and use them on surfaces such as card-stock, faux chalkboards, and real chalkboards.
Have you seen hand lettering on chalkboards in businesses? It's everywhere and gives menus real charm. Using these skills are perfect for a classroom, menu board, murals at restaurants or churches, and so many more ways to spread cheer though lettering with chalk. Practice these skills and your chalk art will look professional in no time! It's fun to do even on sidewalks and driveways with kids, teens and adults. I've written scripture on my church sidewalk to welcome guests.
This class is fun, inspiring and educational. All you need are the basics: chalk and black paper to get started. Then I'll show you how to sharpen chalk with a pencil sharpener. That's a real game changer! Transferring templates is a great technique and gives you confidence before trying to letter and doodle on your own.
Doodling is a great addition to any lettering project. It adds a whimsical feel! Chalk art looks great in black and white but it's really fun to add color. Did you know you can blend chalk? I'll show you how!
