Healing a Broken Heart, Getting Over a Break Up & Someone You Still Love.
Getting over a break up is not easy for anybody! Once the shock of the break up wears off and you realize you need to move on, you should keep busy, stay around your friends, and try to have fun. Also watch this video! It may make you cry at first... but it will help! It was created by people who have recently had a broken heart and were able to get over it. Hope you find it inspirational.
This is one activity you'll love to do! I promise :).
We all make excuses; you know it's true :).
"She is scared or worried"
"He loves me, he just doesn't realize it yet"
"She's just going through a tough time right now"
I've heard every excuse in the book! Enough is enough. I don't care what their excuse is.... you deserve someone who is going to love YOU through thick and thin. Check out our course forum to see actual break up stories and excuses from people.
This homework is so beneficial in helping to heighten your self esteem. If you start loving and caring for yourself, you will start to forget about the loser who is dragging you down and ruining your life!
You need to be the one to DECIDE if you want to get over this person or FIGHT for them. More times than not, you will want to fight for them..... but why? If you know they are ruining your life, dragging you down, and not as in love with you as you are with them, why would you fight for them? Make a decision about what kind of romantic partner you want in your life. Should they love you? I think that's very important. But, hey, it's your decision.
Let's ease your tension and stress. This lesson is all about learning to relax so you can function. I know how hard it can be to get dumped or cheated on, so try this exercise as a little reward for yourself... use it everyday if it helps! You deserve to feel relaxed and stress free. It's your right as a human!
I am so happy you have made it this far in the course! If you don't feel like listening to me yammer on in the video, to sum it up, it's just about moving on. That's right. As your life coach, I am challenging you to put yourself out there and go on dates. Nothing will hurt your ex more than knowing you aren't crying over them. Knowing you are out with other ladies or gents having a GREAT time. I highly recommend checking out every dating site that's popular in your area. Download the apps on your smart phone, or do whatever it takes. My top picks are: eHarmony, Plenty of Fish, Sugardaddies (if you're a girl who needs to be praised and spoiled for a while), Match, ChristianMingle, OkCupid, or good old Facebook. Yes, you can creep through your friends' friends and add people who look like fun people to meet :).
I am not endorsing any of these sites, nor do I care which ones you get on... but get on several! You will feel so much better when you're out on dates to get your mind off that jerk!
My top picks for date ideas:
- Appetizers and drinks
- Dinner (everyone loves to eat, especially when they are upset)
- Coffee (if you are into deep conversation with strangers)
- Movie theater (if you don't like to talk much)
- Bowling or Pool (if you love games)
- Smoothies and a walk around a scenic area
- Visit a zoo or pet store
Just stay safe, as you already know! And try to smile and have fun :).
